😐Funny Things that amuse me

.338 wm in an indoor range....there isn't enough ear protection to not hurt my ears

Not that I have the setup for it, but I found a range between Gville and Jax that's a 1,000 yard. But to use it, you have to previously qualified proficient at 1,000 yards. How the fuck do you do that when the only long range in NC Florida doesn't let you use it for practice

Is that the one in Bradford?

Been a while, but sounds right. Looking it up now though, it says you can qualify there, but it's 850 yards.

Saw one in Leesburg that's the same, but let's you qualify at 400 yards.

Still, point remains...how does one practice at long range if you have to qualify to use the long range....

Sounds retarded.

Thankfully, my father in law has 1,000+ acres. I know one spot I could stretch out to 1,600 yards.
It is retarded. Granted, there's no where I'd ever hunt or need to shoot 1,000 yards in the SE US. Shit, I can't think of a hunting ground I've ever been on where you had a clear line of sight even close to that. My best/longest kill was a buck hopping through a millet field around 100 yards. Longest shot, maybe 200 yards down the line between planted pines. But most of the time, if you're out in the woods, you're pretty short range.
