Politics The war on Joe Rogan

Not sure where else the whole Kanye West stuff goes, but since he thought Alex Jones was Joe Rogan, I guess it kind of fits here:

Siddharth Kara...surely that one is going to get some panties in a twist. Right out of the gate, he talks about how there's never been a worse period of slavery/human trafficking/child labor for profit in history than right now in the Congo mining cobalt for electric vehicles, cell phones, etc. He shows a mine that we're told has no human labor, but the video shows over 15,000 people ass to elbow in that mine. Also notes that there's no such thing as clean cobalt like the lefties claim, it's all a lie.

Coincidence that this came out about the same time as Tesla reveals an 80,000 lb semi with absurd battery requirements?

Covientient timing in the tesla and Twitter investigations too

Mixed targets though that makes this airing odd. Rogan is a friend/fan of Elon's, so he wouldn't want to intentionally target him. He's on his side and the side of EV's.

I couldn’t listen to this podcast long, it was simply cobalt is bad, uses slave labor, tech uses false claims.

Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti. Always like them, reasonable liberal/conservative.

But Krystal just said the biggest example of voter fraud was Bush in 2000. Because of Jeb being governor and there actually being a timeline, it had to have been fraud.

Funny how there's no mention of the person driving around with a voting machine and ballots in their trunk.

Yeah their show is good but she says some idiotic things sometimes like about “corporatists”

I wish their politics were reversed. Apparently I'll be sexist if I'm the one who says her opinions I disagree with are stupid and emotional.

She just did it again. She said the same talking about Biden did in his speech while patting himself on the back (this was recorded prior to the SOTU).

Bad Republicans for opposing the brilliant and wonderful move by Biden during COVID by lifting 50% of American children from poverty with the extra money to families. Republicans opposed continuing the program beyond COVID relief and Dems just let it happen, but why didn't we continue it?

Let's see: The money isn't free. Handing out massive amounts of money to the poor is either printing money, putting us further into debt, or stealing it from tax payers. The other problem, many of us received that child tax credit for COVID and it was nothing but an advance and we had to pay that shit back the following year which set many people behind because the money was already spent. How fucking stupid do Libs have to be to not understand this?

they don't understand basic eocnomics or dont care

Missed the cobalt discussion. So the mining doesn’t have to mean slaves or child labor - the us and other privileged western countries have decided that it should be hard to impossible to mine for things in their own countries with fair labor practices and strict environmental practices because mining wad bad 100 years ago and they don’t want to see it. It’s all kinds of fucked up but environmental grifters, funded by China and Russia, have outsized power

Mining doesn’t have to mean child labor, but a recent guest/undercover journo who witnessed first hand massive child labor (like 15,000) in cobalt mines that does supply us….if he’s to be believed.

It means child slave labor in shitty countries. It doesn’t mean that in the US europe or Australia, but NIMBYs try to kill it

Been a while, so I've lost track. But I wasn't referring to mining as a generality or specific location. It was about the hypocrisy of liberals who use products that only exist because of slave labor, which they conveniently ignore what happens in shitty countries, and try to make it about non-shit countries.

its not just that, they SPECIFICALLY PUSH POLICIES that make it very difficult to impossible to open new mines in the US, where there are strong labor and environmental standards, and push it to countries without those. They weaponize environmental laws to shut it down here. It makes us weaker to not produce those materials in the US. That's a major problem with Biden's "Buy America" bullshit. Dem policies shut it down here, then blame companies for importing raw materials.

Yep.

I can't remember who I was listening to this week, but they were talking about some people believe we're freer than we've ever been because of all the trans crap. He said, 10s of thousands of government regulations are passed every single year making every aspect of American life, especially production, more difficult. We are not free from the government.
