The pilot of the aircraft that crashed in the Kamnik area of Slovenia after taking off from Zagreb was Swedish entrepreneur and politician Carl Lundström. He was known as an ultranationalist and co-founder of the pirate site The Pirate Bay.
The Swedish entrepreneur, co-owner of the globally known pirate site The Pirate Bay, and far-right politician, 64-year-old Carl Lundström, was the pilot of the aircraft that crashed on Monday in the Velika Planina area of Slovenia.
"Today, we received tragic and unimaginable news. Carl Lundström, a legend and veteran of Swedish nationalism, died on Monday in a plane crash. He took off in his Mooney M-20 aircraft from Zagreb to St. Moritz in Switzerland but crashed in Slovenia," wrote the Alternative for Sweden party, as reported by the Slovenian news portal 24ur.
Lundström had been a member of the party since its founding in 2018, and he had allegedly denied the Holocaust and Nazi crimes in his social media posts.

It should be noted that the Mooney Ovation M20R aircraft took off from Zagreb on Monday after 8 a.m. and crashed in the Velika Planina area of Slovenia, shortly after losing contact with air traffic control.
After a long search, most of the aircraft and the pilot's body were found in a mountain cabin in the Kamnik area. The cause of the crash, as confirmed by Slovenian police last night, has not yet been determined.
