šŸŠGators Napier-era Shlinks

Gators
He didnā€™t mention him definitely being the coach in 2025, this is to try and shore up recruiting, and keep the roster intact.

Why now? And why did Florida need to announce that a coach under contract through 2027 was returning for the 2025 season?

The short of that is weā€™re in the home stretch of the recruiting cycle and the Gators could use all the help they could get with the nationā€™s No. 51 class. Fear of Napierā€™s potential exit certainly played a part in that ranking. Not having clarity on that decision wouldā€™ve only made things worse. Thereā€™s no denying that Napier will need a portal-heavy approach this offseason, which could begin 3 weeks from Saturday if Florida misses a bowl berth.

By announcing Napierā€™s return, heā€™ll avoid the questions on the recruiting trail about whether heā€™s coaching for his job down the stretch. Shoot, heā€™ll avoid the questions in his own locker room, which could be significant as the post-regular season transfer portal window opens.

We got a 5 Star......Punter.

:golfclap:

The Florida Gators have added to its 2025 recruiting class, this time with its special teams unit.

Punter Hayden Craig (North Bridgton, Maine) pledged his commitment to Florida over an offer from Ole Miss. Additionally, Craigā€™s pledge includes a full-ride scholarship offer, according to Gators Onlineā€™s Corey Bender.

With punter Jeremy Crawshaw entering his fourth season, Craig becomes an immediate replacement should his commitment hold up. Crawshaw's eligibility expires following the 2024 season. Craig is expected to take Crawshaw's scholarship spot once the veteran leaves Florida.

Kohlā€™s Kicking ranks Craig as a five-star punter and the No. 18 overall punter in the 2025 class. Heā€™s also a 4.5-star and the No. 56 overall kicker in the class. Kohlā€™s full comments on Craig can be found below.

Even Slate knows that FSU sucks

Some choice quotes:

Almost nothing in college football, I like to say, is ever new. But a program going from national title contention to 1ā€“9 and last place in its conference this rapidly is unprecedented. That begs the question: How have the Noles managed it? The answer: comprehensively.

Nothing better illustrates FSUā€™s fall from prominence than the decision by Duke students to not even bother rushing the field after beating such a sad-sack opponent.

The offense does not feature any bright spots. The wide receivers are never open, the running backs cannot get loose, and the offensive line gives them little chance to do so. FSU is an incredible 133rd out of 134 Football Bowl Subdivision teams in yards per carry (2.68).

This year shows that FSU has failed miserably in the development of its own players and makes clear that Norvellā€™s previous success was because of shrewd recruiting of other programsā€™ players.

My MIL & BIL are pretty staunch noles, same, I actually ferl sorry for them, theyā€™re very nice for noles

F$U screwed even more:

With his recruitment reopened, Jones stands as one of the top uncommitted quarterbacks in the final weeks of the 2025 cycle. Florida has remained in contact this fall with Jones, a four-year starter at Mandarin High School, and sources within the Gators' program are optimistic that Florida will ultimately land Jones in the final weeks of the cycle following the school's decision to keep Billy Napier as head coach beyond 2024.
