Gators
RB flip form F$U:

Billy Napier is living proof of what a vote of confidence and a few quality wins can do for a head coachā€™s future.

Since receiving a vote of confidence from the Florida administration, Napier and the Gators have pulled off a couple of quality wins vs. LSU and Ole Miss, including a massive upset of the Rebels in Week 13. The results have also heated off the field with the Gators firmly in flip mode while landing some key pieces for the future.

Byron Louis is the latest prospect to land with Florida after the recent results from Gainesville. A 4-star running back out of Fort Lauderdaleā€™s American Heritage High School, Louis had been committed to Florida State since September.

Now, heā€™s committed to Napierā€™s Gators for the 2025 recruiting class:

Louis is a 4-star recruit per the 247 Sports Composite and is ranked as the 17th RB in the country per the system. Heā€™s listed at 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds and is the 33rd overall player from the state of Florida for the cycle.

For the Florida Gators, the third Hylton Stubbsā€˜ commitment was the charm.

After having previously been committed to Miami and Southern California, the 4-star safety from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin has flipped from the Hurricanes to the Gators in a recruiting stunner that will send shockwaves throughout the Sunshine State.

ā€œAfter an amazing visit to the University of Florida (Sunday), I have decided to de-commit from Miami and commit to the Gators,ā€ Stubbs sent Gators Online via DM. ā€œThe main reason for this decision is my belief in the football program and the incredible opportunity to compete for a national championship. Coach (Billy) Napierā€™s vision, leadership, and genuine approach stood out to me, and Iā€™m confident heā€™s building something special in Gainesville. Iā€™m excited to play for a coach who prioritizes development both on and off the field. Go Gators!ā€

National Signing day is Wednesday.

Stubbs, listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, is the No. 4 safety and No. 58 overall recruit nationally in the On3 Industry Rankings. He had been the highest-ranked player in the Miami recruiting class. Stubbs committed to the Hurricanes on July 4

At Mandarin, he was teammates with 4-star Florida quarterback commit Tramell Jones. Jones flipped to the Gators from FSU on Nov. 17. Stubbs officially visited Florida in June ā€” and raved about the experience. He was a USC commit at the time.

Mandarin has a top flight receiver weā€™re pushing hard for as well. Currently a Texas commit, mixed messages on where heā€™s going to end up. Hopefully the two teammates push him over the edge

Sorry, looks like the WR is staying with Texas most likely. But there may be more flips coming, really good turnaround with signing day tomorrow
What are your thoughts on where the class will rank? Most services had us moving up the 15th--17th, maybe it might be a top 10 class...which would be fantastic, considering where we started.

Looks like we're #11 now, I think we get in the top 10, not sure how high we go up. Couple big fish still nibbling, no clue who we actually get in addition to those already committed. Much better than #50 from three weeks ago
