📺Television Movie/tv thread

Lol. I had not been to a movie since Jaws 3. I think that was late 70s or early 80s. I just dont enjoy the communal experience. I went to a matinee after the cruise. Gf wanted to see it and had a babysitter. Weekday matinee there was like 10 people there so it was good. I have a great 86 inch TV but it was nice seeing a big screen again although still smaller than I remember. Also seems like volume is kind of high even for me who usually likes loud. Probably not be back again.

The only reason I go to the movies anymore is because my kids want to. So I will probably be seeing Guardians 3 this weekend, too. My son wants to see it, but I don't know if my daughter (7) is ready for the f-bomb that is supposed to be in it.

That said, I've never seen a movie in Imax and I'd like to see something made for it.

Saw Guardians.

Really good, better than Part 2. Some really great fight scenes, and way more emotion than you would expect from a Marvel movie. (Pretty sure my wife teared up once or twice).

James Gunn definitely has a great visual style.

Only complaint is that there was too little of Adam Warlock, and what we did get was so far removed from the original comic character.

Latest season of Better Call Saul. They should have ended it around episode 10 when the "creating Saul" story came to a conclusion. The black and white present day episodes are slow and boring as hell.

Which Guardians died?

I saw it too. Didn't like the first half too much, but it grew on me.

None of the Guardians died.

Anyone watching succession? The lasted episode had a dumb woke subplot

I'm way behind. The first half of season 1 made it hard to get into, but it picked up. Almost to the end of S2 now. I just googled to see how many season there were and one of the first things to pop up, from NBC "Succession causes election anxiety online in latest episode"

I have never seen a Fast & Furious movie and this Twitter thread makes me think I didn't miss anything.
