⚖️Law & Order Crimes and trials

Holy crap. That does seem targeted.

edit: So many people weighing in about whether or not the shooter was a "professional" hit man. Like anyone really has experience in that arena except what they see in movies.

He used a suppressor and apparently subsonic ammunition (because the gun isn't cycling properly between shots), but he doesn't really care about the camera or the witness?

Definitely a targeted killing, and he put some thought into it, but I don't think he's the evil genius hitman some are making him out to be. There's a guy on Twitter who was tracking rental e-bikes for a project and he figured out that only one was taken from the scene at the time of the shooting, and he figures that may have been the killer. He relayed that information to police.

Same dude who did this project I posted about earlier: https://alligatorunderground.com/threads/catch-all-random-thread.4552/post-61380

It would be funny if they found him that way, but what kind or professional killer escapes on a public electric bike?

I might be wrong, but I've studied and practiced with people who know how to handle handguns. None of them look that way when they shoot. They don't have that stance or that grip.

Doesn't that fall under disturbing the peace or some kind of law? A public bathroom where people actually need to use the bathroom? Non binary or whatever....that dude with a fucking mustache certainly doesn't fall under any trans bullshit.

I wish that video ended with masked men running in and going Babe Ruth on their heads.

It's only a matter of time before they find him. And since they have casings and have tracked him to Starbucks (where he bought stuff and threw it away) and a hostel, I would think they might be able to find trace evidence to connect him to the crime, possibly even DNA. He looks so young in that face photo they released. I'm betting that he's some antifa-type activist rather than someone whose family member was denied coverage for something serious.

None of it makes sense. I saw a close-up picture of the "casings" that supposedly had the etched words. The one I saw clearly facing the camera was an unfired shell. And seeing how the 3 ejected had the 3 etched words (and at least one of those was the unfired, ejected bullet), why the fuck would he load his mag with alternating rounds. Fired, to be ejected with a word, fired, to be ejected, so on. That's completely irrational for the rest that seemed to be planned.

It's like he watched too many movies/tv shows where the good guy etched something into the bullet, but it wouldn't actually fire like that so he had to badly improvise? I guess that's not as cool of a way to leave your message as just throwing the 3 rounds on the ground to be read and just firing consecutive rounds?

Which also, IMO, completely removes the professional assassin framing a demographic as a cover. It was too stupid.

That's bizarre. Yeah, I don't think he was a "professional." I don't think those really exist outside of a very few government black ops.

The FTEs may have been caused by the suppressor not having a booster attachment. Most pistol barrels tilt a little when ejecting a round. To make them eject the round, a spring loaded device is added to the suppressor. My S&W 5.7 doesn't need one but if I wanted to suppress my VP9s, I would have to get one.

Usually the judge will go through a few rounds of "go back and keep working on it" before declaring a mistrial. The jury could be deadlocked over manslaughter vs. murder or some other distinction rather than guilty/not guilty, so this may not be good. If they all agreed that he went too far, they may compromise on some lesser charge if the judge pressures them hard enough to keep deliberating.
