Exactly. All that is in the past now. I'm not even that upset today. I guess I did all my grieving over the last 6 months.

Exactly. Tumblr basically destroyed itself due to a similar change. Imgur started out pretty great because it was simple to upload and copy the image links. But they quickly discovered that there's not very many good ways to make money as an image host, so they added some social networking to it, which of course attracted advertisers.

But I guess the advertisers finally put their foot down on the porn, so here we are.

I was actually just looking into self-hosted solutions. I mean, sure you can attach an image to a post here, but it could be easier.

This dude made one, pretty cheap (but not free): https://imgz.org/

Still, if he decides he doesn't like what you upload, he'll terminate you.

I made one years ago for personal use. May still have the code somewhere. With the little traffic this place gets, you should be able to easily setup something on your host without any fears of bandwidth overages or anything.

Yeah, there's some free software packages out there that are pretty good. Ideally, I'd like one that integrates with the forum software so we can upload easy. Looking into it now.
 
I have to be part of a presentation tomorrow at UF for our continuing services contract. I haven’t spoken in front of a group of people at home in so long. Gotten spoiled in this job and working from home.
