🤬Bitch Bitch thread

Well I accepted that already, I knew Trump couldn't get grocery prices down overall. They were up for years, people bitched but got use to it. No one is lowering them. Just like during COVID, restaurants reduced portion sizes and increased prices by a lot.....did they ever reverse that? Nope. Never will.

Price gouging is real, as a lot of places admitted they raised prices over tariffs, but they did this before tariffs even took place and we're also seeing that tariffs were a win. So now they're just pocketing all that extra money I guess? We're just fucked with pricing.....things are better, but no company will give up their extra profit.
Prices are probably going to get worse, and I think Trump is ok with that in an effort to create more jobs/opportunities here.
Vance had a great response to some lib talking about immigration and how allowing immigration and accepting that they make up a majority of the jobs that Americans don't want to do is a fallacy. American's don't want to do them at the rate a migrant will do them. Eliminating illegals in the work force will require work to be done at higher wages, those higher wages will increase costs and prices.
Tariffs will do somewhat the same. Give an opportunity for goods to be produced here, but it will come at a higher cost, and higher prices.
In the end, it will equal out with more opportunities and higher overall wages, but getting there will be a little hard.

What's going to really complicate that is the job loses through Ai. Big story in WSJ how entry level white collar jobs are basically gone. New college grads are having a hard time finding work. Hopefully that will quickly shift with people realizing that trades are the way to go. Perfect time to eliminate illegal immigration.

the problem with wood is mostly Endangered species act has put many wood producing areas off limits. Hopefully this can be fixed without an act of congress.

I don't think people realize how much regs add to the cost of everything. Cars are likely to get cheaper after the repeal of the endangerment finding for example.

Also illegals cost WAY more than they add to the economy.

A type of wood that is really popular with our customers for outdoor use was just reclassified, not sure what the actual classification is , but soon it will be unavailable without crazy red tape and massively increased cost.

its so dumb we don't produce all we can here. Some products I get may only grow in the tropics fine. One of my friends works for the wood people and is always going to azerbajan and shit. Like you're telling me people there are more careful about the environment and worker safety than we are? fuck off.

As of late July 2025, the Trump administration has been actively pursuing policies aimed at increasing logging on federal lands.
Key actions and policies
  • Rescinding the Roadless Rule: The administration has announced its intention to repeal the 2001 Roadless Rule, which has protected nearly 59 million acres of national forest land from logging and road construction.
  • Executive Orders to Boost Timber Production: President Trump issued executive orders in March 2025 directing federal agencies to increase domestic timber production and streamline policies, including easing regulations under the Endangered Species Act.
  • Emphasis on Wildfire Risk Reduction: The administration has cited the need for active forest management to reduce wildfire risk as a justification for increased logging.
  • "National Forest Emergency" Designation: Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins declared a "national forest emergency" in April 2025, covering over 112 million acres, allowing logging to be fast-tracked through environmental regulations.

Well shit, we've been saying this for years. The whole "you have to go to college to succeed" was a giant scam unless you had a very specific career in mind. The entire left thinks college = educated = superior = worth a lot of money even if it's in art fucking history. Until that changes, the problems involved employment or student loans won't go away and starting with the illegals is a great place. Most are just too stupid to see the big picture.

I think part of the issue is also that you have to want to work and work hard and put up with shit and learn to get along with people and listen and learn - regardless. I think kids who go into trades understand that. College grads maybe not as much because of tech company TikTok’s where people appear to snack all day.

I think going to college was good for me but I went before woke shit to one of the more conservative state schools. Part of it is I think there were still a lot of gi bill professors who didn’t put up with anything and expected us to be adults. I never expected life to not be shitty and I’m pleasantly surprised when it’s not

You also have an actual career, not a degree in literature. Going to college without getting a degree in a field that guarantees a job and requires a level of learning is just stupid and short sighted. Obviously the decade you went makes a huge difference.

Speaking of the tech bros/tiktok companies, etc.....The tech movement didn't do these kids any favors. Once a month I or so I go to Flying Biscuit for breakfast. Usually it's quiet and peaceful when they first open. Except when a specific employee behind the counter is there, mid/late 20s. He loves to hear himself talk and never shuts up. He constantly talks about his IT job and how stupid everyone is. He tells his dumb IT stories to anyone who will listen (mostly other employees).

I have to bite my tongue every time as he ruins my silence....I want to tell him, "Dude, you IT kids are a dime a fucking dozen. That's why you're pouring my coffee at 7am on a Saturday. No one gives a fuck about your $15/hour IT job".

You hit the nail square on the head, when I was at UF many of my professors were WW2 or Korean war combat vets, those folks had seen the elephant, and they weren't into excuses, hurt feelings, safe places and hating Jews. Totally different mindset and world view. Glad I'm not in college today, I'd wind up getting arrest for slapping the shit out of the professor.

Its not even that, I had some sort of hippie misfits as teachers, they weren't indoctrinators.

so many teachers are instilling crazy ideas in students now, like communism is awesome and islam is a religion of peace but Christianity wants to kill black people

When my mom went back to UF after having me, she had some social BS class she took as an elective. The hippie teacher told everyone to take off all their clothes and sit in a circle. She left and changed classes
