Scope cost more than the rifle didn't it

Nope, not this time. I was looking for something in the $800 - $1000 range, and ran across this one for $500. Really good reviews and some of the clearest glass I have looked through. I figured, at worst, if I didn't like it, I could just return it.

Loving that it is a 5-25x56 scope with a 34mm tube. Sucker draws in all the light, at dusk/dawn, and the zoom is just wonderful when looking for spikes.

Nice. Post the link, I’ve been considering another rifle and I don’t want to spend up to a grand on a scope.

Oh... don't use that credova shit on there. I was going to use it for a credit bump, but holy shit... 40% interest. You can pay it off early but it won't be interest/penalty free. It was going to go from $500 to $700-ish, even if I only had the note for a month. Fuck that.

Broke out that debit card.

40%, that's retarded.

I only use 0% companies like Klarna and Shop. Shop will break up most items into 4 bi-weekly payments and Klarna will go a few months. I used Affirm once and paid an under 10%. But the rest are stupid.

Zeroed in my red dot... mostly. I don't think It'll get much better.
20 rds at 25 yds. At 50, it wasn't quite so accurate, but I am shooting 9mm.

I ain't that accurate at 10 yards with my 40. Need to dial in the sights, but I never get around to it. I just compensate by aiming higher and to the left.

For self defense it doesn't matter. Odds are you're well within 10 yards. Aim small, miss small. In most self defense cases, instinctive shooting will get the job done.

With any caliber, that's good for most people at 50 yards. The further out you go, it's going to be higher, that's just the physics. From what I've seen, most people sight their red dot at 10 yards, then confirm it at 25.

Hey, juggs, you're a kimber guy... what do you think of the micro 9?
Not juggs, but I have one, bought it for my wife. It is very smooth, clip sucks.

My current Kimber knowledge is just what I've read. I've heard nothing but good things about the Micro 9 and have seen a few reviews online. You can check Youtube for some action reviews. Kimber has gone through ups and downs. 15+ years ago, every single part was hand fit after being machined. The QC was impeccable and they produced some of the best of the best. My dad, with his full size .45 (which I know have) could free hand/iron sights consistently pop a plate the size of a coffee cup saucer at 100 yards. This was when my dad had a contract as a certified Kimber dealer (until they eventually demanded he up his inventory to keep the contract, which he said fuck that....it was a hobby, not a profession).

But then they got popular and produced more, they stopped hand fitting every part and the QC went to shit. They spent 10 or more years making mediocre products. Haven't personally handled one, but supposedly the last 5 years or so they really got their ass back in gear and start putting out great, reliable work again.

Yeah, I played with one at the store yesterday. I liked the feel, and it's smaller than my Taurus for concealed carry. Pricey, though.

I can’t say if it’s worth the price now over any other big name. Decades ago, yes. Now? Probably not? Manufacturers really stepped up their game to close the gap it seems.

So, a firearm worn at 3 o'clock doesn't interfere with bowling. Good to know.

The red dot for my carry pistol got here today. Can't wait to get to the range and zero it in.

Never carried side. Not comfortable on my bony hip and it always printed too much. I prefer appendix but have to carry at 6 a lot because of my clothes.

I have a belly, so side works better for me. A long bowling/Hawaiian shirt keeps me from printing.
