📰News 🦝 Possum news (and memes)

jtg is such a puss.

As for the squirrel...just giant rodents that while cute, can be a huge menace. I'd laugh for a second, record it like they did, and then kill it. When they're squirmy like that, it's best to just give it a good whack with a shovel.

A squirrel will fuck you up. Those little teeth are sharp.

Father in law found 3 baby squirrels in his shop. Mom had chewed into a 220 cord and lost that battle. We raised them, with as little human interaction as possible, and intended to let them go in the spring. Any time we cleaned the cage, 2 of them would attack our hands and arms. Started wearing welding gloves and a heavy Carhartt coat when dealing with them. The third was chill as fuck. Would climb on your shoulder and watch you clean the cage. He was also turning white. Wasn’t albino, just started turning white.

Fucking gas man killed them by not closing off a valve on the tank,

One of the funniest things I've ever seen is a squirrel missed the limb it was jumping for about 30 feet up. Went thud pretty close to me. It squealed for a few seconds, kinda spasmed....then after half a minute or so, just got up and ran back to the cheer.

I was just walking the dog at the time, no idea why I was looking up to even see the squirrel miss, but damn it was hilarious.

Wife found a dead duck in my backyard yesterday. Well, scattered parts of a dead duck, including the head.

Not sure what kind of animal is responsible. My guess is a hawk or an osprey, but it could also have been an otter or maybe even a raccoon.

Hawks don't leave pieces behind from what I've seen. A coon shreds and spreads. No clue about an osprey.

One of my live traps was bent. I finally got tired of the coon eating the cat food on the front porch, so I put a live trap in front of it and blocked the side with a concrete block. First night, the coon climbed over and got the food and then I realized this particular trap's door was bent out and keeping the lever from disengaging. Fixed that. Last night I did it again, but added old shutters and shit to create a path to make sure it's only route was to the trap. Muddy prints on my wall and dirty water...it claimed over the trap from the front (opened). I'm sure it did go in the trap, but then I realized the trap panel wire was also bent down, so it wasn't depressing enough to release the fucking door. So this morning, I had to reach through and bend the wires upward. Now it's working properly. Attempt #3 tonight. I think I'll set up the game cam too in case this coon is somehow smarter than all the others.

If attempt 3 fails, time to break out the other type of traps and bait it before it reaches the porch.

Death to all opossums.

Juggs is pissed this morning. Attempt #3 failed. The coon didn't even go in the trap. It climbed over the live trap, moved a concrete block and the makeshift roof covering up the cat food bait. It learned quickly after the first trap failed 2 times and once I put in the newer trap, it didn't even go inside even though it was entirely setup to funnel to the entrance.

Now it's war and the other traps come out.
