⚡ACHTUNG!⚡ Real Estate opportunity for EG

I like the idea of a cabin in the woods but I don’t like the idea of driving down a dirt road and 20 miles to get oranges or Advil
I won't pretend I don't love the convenience. I go to Publix every 2 or 3 days. I don't like long pre planning meals, I want what I want and it changes. It'll be the only thing I'll miss about the city when I do move.

That house....it's surprising it wasn't on a historical registry and a museum would have been nice. However, I assume they have a lot of old ass museums up there. And that kitchen, butlers area, and incorporating/keeping the old fire places is a bad ass area.

I'd add this into the much ado about...little...category. They already mutilated the house in 1930. It's not like this was a 17th century time capsule. It was already relatively modern, just dated.

I just walked to pick up my prescription at cvs. I don’t want to give that up

I live like 1.5 miles from Publix and at rush hour it can take 10 minutes to get there, usually 5. 20 minutes isn't really the end of the world

But it has had me thinking about picking a very small town where you can get enough land and a house and still be 10-15 minutes from town.

Someone, not me, signed me up for neighborhood news. I get emails on everything from nearby crimes to houses sold in the area. It's a bit annoying.

Today's "alert"....A house near me (same lot size, 400 SF smaller, but a better location back off the road). Sold for $165,000 in 2023 and just sold for $420,000.

If I didn't loathe the idea of an apartment, I'd sell now before prices and rates drop and bide my time.

Sharing walls with someone....God no. But damn that's about the only way to get a house someone else in the future. Inflation or not, prices outside of town have skyrocketed because of all the god damn liberals taking over rural Alachua county.
