its hard to think of a brand or product I've done more of a 180 on than pizza hut. I mean, i know part of it is developing adult tastes, but I still adore Dairy queen

It's one of those "bad pizza is still pretty good" (most of the time) situations. Pizza Huts were everywhere and popular 30 years ago. I liked it as a kid, but they haven't changed one bit and it's crazy overpriced when the competitors are better and cheaper.

I haven't had Dairy Queen since I was a teen. I'd love a banana split or something, but ice cream doesn't is enough to trigger the lactose intolerance

They didn't use to be. All fast food is worse, now, except for chik-fil-a. KFC has made an effort to go back to what worked.

This is accurate. It's not just my taste buds for being disappointed or annoyed every single time I've had to pick up fast food the last couple years. It's been like that for quite a while, but since COVID and they jacked up prices and reduced quantities, it's more noticeable.
