A lot of people got their hopes up, including me, that they'd pull a couple of studs they were in the mix for yesterday, but I'd bet if Napier can show any kind of coaching ability next year he'll win more of those battles. What's really telling about how shitty Mullen was is we only signed 5 or 6 kids from Florida. He pissed off the whole state I guess, hopefully Napier can repair that. Getting a kid from IMG was huge, we haven't gotten one from there in a very long time.
 
Yeah, I'm not too distressed about it. Seems like Napier's got a big-time work ethic that'll pay off eventually. We haven't had a coach who took recruiting seriously in quite a while.
 
Yeah, and Napier hasnā€™t really had to go head to head against established recruiting powerhouses like Ga, AL, TAM before, he was able to use the b level recruits. Also, he almost had to start from scratch as I spose he didnā€™t think that highly of Dickhead Dans recruits.
 
Asheville has managed to keep a lot of the independent biz, must be all the Coexist, Bernie, and Love Your Farmer stickers plastered on these freakazoids cars.
 
Hope Napier can pull them together quick, I'd hate to start the season 0-2, could be 1-3, Tennessee looked pretty good by the end of the year last year.

Honestly with how things turned out I'm happy for Pierce that he didn't get more touches since his body has more miles left in it for the NFL. Definitely fuck Mullen though.

but all of us dumbass fans were like why does he get the ball more and told to stay in our lane. WE WERE RIGHT DAMMIT
 
I think it was the same problem with Emory. DM had him take check down all the time because it was there. Defenses also played the run constantly on us because they weren't scared of our passing game. So the defenses were showing a run defense so we didn't run it, instead of trying to use the best weapon we had. As RIP said, probably much better for Pierce, our shit o-line would have gotten him kilt.
