🤢Gross How are YOU celebrating Pride month?

We rented an RV for a week back in June of 2014. Our favorite campgrounds were in the Portage Valley, which is about midway between Anchorage and Seward. Black Bear and Williwaw are the names of the campgrounds. June is pretty early in the tourist season, so lots of open spots, we were able to camp right next to a cold mountain stream. Nice and quiet.

There is a gas station with an RV dump in Girdwood (on the way from Anchorage to Portage Valley / Seward), and there's a ski resort near there. There's also a touristy gold panning operation and some good hikes, including a hike that includes a human-powered tram across a gorge. Here's me and my son using it:

Man, I feel for you. We drove it when I went with my grandparents. Hope your insurance covers windshields, cuz you'll get chips and cracks. Homer is pretty cool, great fishing.

Talkeetna is cool and i got the absolute best views of Mt Ranier around there. I am related by marriage to the owners of Flying Squirrel there. try to walk on a glacier too
 
Cool view, Doc. But fuck that. Actually I'd rather that one standing in than the sitting down ski lift, legs dangling much higher up that was freaking me out :lol:

I'd love to go to Alaska.

We saw a pack of Orcas attack a humpback whale, they bloodied it up pretty good, then they all disappeared
