🤖Technology Future World Problems, Part 2

I can see that for electric overall. I think teslas are pretty nice. Anecdotal but I’ve asked Uber and Lyft drivers and they seem happy. But they likely make more sense around here where you’re not driving long distances.

But they are a more status item.

It's definitely a status symbol. I swear most of the people I get out of one look like pretentious douchebags. People who charge their vehicles at home apparently have astronomical electric bills.

My brother has a Tesla and he loves it. He drives a lot for his job, and they put a charger in for him at his worksite. I'd buy one if I could afford it, but for now I am stuck with my 20 year old F150 with 320K miles on it.

FPL has a deal where you can get a charger in your house and it is like $35 a month flat, no matter how much you use it.

I wonder if the increase is more than they were paying to gas up.

My Uber driver here said it was less juggs
Location surely plays a big part, as does occupation. Uber drives all day and with much higher mileage, not surprising. What's gas prices there? I see people complaining in some states with gas prices double what Florida is, but what is there energy cost compared to crooks like GRU? Too many factors to blindly believe anecdotes.
