I'm going to cook a rib roast Thursday. Cannot wait. Going to be in a food coma.
 
Smoking a rib roast.
That's the only thing I'm responsible for, so I don't know what else we're having.
 
I wanted the lobster Mac and cheese but it was ridic expensive. Now I regret not getting it
 
I smoked a rib roast today. Cooked way quicker than I was anticipating, had to wrap it and throw it in a cooler before reverse searing 2 hours later. Turned out good, but I think I lost some barkage storing it in the cooler that long. Was humid as hell when I opened it.
 
Yep, wrapping and resting can loose some bark. The brisket was the only thing that stood up to it for me, the pepper really holds. Or maybe it was the new resting bag I bought, I've only used it for the brisket.

Rib roasts do go quick. You get use to taking pork and such to 200-205, then get a rib roast you (hopefully) only take to med-rare at most. My parents brought me a couple rib roasts when they came down. They have this meat place up there in BFE that's so much cheaper. Rib roasts, NY strip loins you just cut up your steaks yourself...comes out to like $5/lb
 
And maybe the best part is the ham bone. About to take the one I have left and make 15 bean stew. Ham bone with plenty of meat left on it, sausage, onion/pepper, and the 15 bean bag/seasoning. Delicious.
 
New England breakfast blend is my go to.
 
House or breakflast blend is usually a good option, it's always a neutral, not too dark brew. Since Fresh Market stopped carrying the low acid coffee, I've switched to Gevalia's House Blend. But I still had some french roast I'm trying to get through and bleh.

Speaking of, I was mocking the retards who think that "mushroom coffee" makes them lose weight because of all the different mushrooms in it lose weight and flatten their stomach. Ignoring the fact that the Ryze or whatever has about 1/1000th the quantity needed to get any scientifically backed medicinal benefits from each mushroom, I asked.....How did you drink your coffee?

Cream and sugar.

And you don't think that maybe, just maybe your slight weight loss is because you stopped drinking 4 cups of cream and sugar and not because of some miniscule amounts of mushrooms mixed with crappy instant coffee?

Gevali is the best I found at Publix. Can’t remember what I bought from Costco recently that was supposed to be “premium”. It was shit, smelled weird when brewing and just wasn’t good.
 
My wife is particular about her coffee. I buy whatever is on sale and mix it in the jar of the old coffee that I bought that was on sale.
 
This stuff is pretty good. Wife picked it up at WalMart. No need for cream or anything.
