I head up a company that makes really expensive hunting equipment... a computer nerd, never shot a deer (tried, safety was on)... so I have no balls to bust, but have at it.

Safety stays off for me. Up in these woods, the line of sight means you're usually shooting at a fairly short distance. Last thing I need is for the deer to perk up upon hearing a loud click of taking the safety off

Truth be told, I never really cared about shooting... even though I was paying stupid money to be part of my friends club for a couple years. Getting there well before dawn, being bundled up in freezing temps, completely still and silent for hours in a shooting house, sounds of nature, it was basically therapy. The one time I attempted was near dusk and one large doe gave me the perfect shot and another started grazing behind it perpendicular and I though the second ones head was probably perfectly behind front shoulder of initial target. Only time I shot my 7mm mag was to site in. I thought this was going to be the most epic shot ever, go down in club lore kinda deal, 2 in one shot, my first shot ever. Pulled, Saftey, I lol'd at myself for what I was thinking and my incompetence and said forget it.

This video of the buck that broke his leg last year. Look at the those antler bases. He would have had a super nice rack this year. One broken leg fucked that rack up.

Saw an absolute monster buck Friday afternoon. Was about 200 yards from the road, on posted land, and I could see the mass from there. Wasn't really wide but the mass and height were crazy. Looked like one that could easily be in Boone and Crockett records.

I know y'all don't care but I need to tell someone and it will not be these fucks that live around me.

Sadly, he was not even close to where I hunt. He's on land owned by a huge John Deere dealer. They will prosecute.
