UF v. UK last night...
a few things:
1. Good win for Joey's boys.
2. What a lucky ass shot by Meeks.
3. Conversely, what a choke job by our guys at the end...3-9 FTs in the last 3 minutes...including Calathes' 0-3 to tie it at the end.
4. Hodge has turned into an embarrassment. That stunt he pulled last night was a disgrace and should land him a spot on the bench for a few games.

I hope Billy has our guys shooting a ton of free throws in practice. We missed a lot of them last night.

All the above...
and the refs suck
and they shot FT's pretty well overall a1...just missed them at the end. This team is WEAK mentally, except for someone like Walker.

Yeah, I don't come down too hard on Calathes for missing at the end, he had just made 9 straight FT's. When you miss the first one it basically made the rest a moot point anyway.
It was the stupid turn-overs that pissed me off. How many did we dribble off of our feet etc. Those aren't the result of good defense, it's just poor ball handling. If it weren't for UK's equally bad (or worse) ball handling we wouldn't have even been in it at the end.
We also missed a good number of shots that should have been made. some short and mid-range jumpers that just didn't fall.

I'm a little torn on this one. I know if it had been UK I'd probably be calling thug but I watched it live last night and it sure appeared that as soon as he felt something under his foot he tried to lighten the load. He also immediately turned around to apologize. The cynic in me though says he ran back to apologize because he realized someone saw what he did.
Either way it sure looked bad for UF. Though I really thought the announcers tried to spin it in a good light for UF. The chick sideline reporter chimed in that it happened right in front of her and she thought it looked like an accident.

If it wasn't for Walters' past issues with throwing an elbow or letting his emotions get the best of him, then I would give him the benefit of doubt. At this point, I have to question if he did it on purpose or not.

I know he apologized immediately but the way his leg kind of kicked back looked awkward to me. Great game. UK def needed that game more than UF and played that way. I hope PPat's ankle is alright. When he went out I thought that was the end of it but a lot of role players like Harrelson, Porter and Galloway stepped up and played was above what they usually do.

I was wondering what the hell I did. Shouldn't Walter be acting a little bit more mature for a player that has been there 15 years?
