to answer her question he explained why he supports the progressive tax system and why the upper brackets don't actually pay as much taxes as their bracket says they do.

Very few are arguing against the progressive tax (I believe).

I've never really argued against the progressive tax, I just don't think it should be anywhere near as high as it is.

again, the tax rates mean very little when you can exclude a good portioin of your income from being taxed. of if it makes you feel better, lower the tax percentages all around and take away the loopholes, i'm all for that.
