speculation abound that banking revenues would be down as much as 60+% ... they reported down only 32%

time to cover those shorts???

lehman reports better than expected.

still shit but better than what analysts were saying...we should see some 'buyers' this morning...watch the stock rise and that'll be the time to short em.

God, I love when we get reports that say, "Well, these numbers suck, but not nearly as bad as we thought they would." Friends ask me some times, "How the heck is it that the unemployment report came out and shows a crap number but the stock market went up" or something like that. I used to wonder the same thing. Then you get into following it all on a routine basis and it's just all part of the game.
