who would you rather play? UT or OU?

OU will be more of a challenge for our defense imho (a tougher win)

here's the thing : if we play OU, UT will believe that OU should never have been there and when we win, they'll always have that hanging over us (that they should've been playing us and not OU)....if we play UT, there's no controversy...it will be presumed that we will be playing UT because OU did not beat MIZZOU...no controversy.

i personally want to play UT for the following reasons:

1 - i have UT friends
2 - i believe we'll have an easier go versus UT
3 - no controversy if we play UT as i've outlined above
4 - i hate mack brown

so which is it?

5 - i can't stand that OU cheer that their band plays after every first down

regarding the game itself, makes no difference to me. neither plays much defense.

with regard to the actual rankings, there is no second guessing if mizzou wins. though i still contend you should have win your conference to play in the mncg. in which case if mizzou wins i think we should play usc.

gman - there's been a precedent set already....there's been a team that has played for the NC that didn't win their conference...nebraska was it?

Rad...I'm pretty sure Bill would agree with all four of your reasons except the first one. But I don't care really. If we win, we win.

i know it's happened, i just don't agree with it. i also think OU played in the bcs after losing to kansas in the big 12 cg.

What happened to Nebraska when they played in the BCS title game after not winning their conference? Ask your UT friends that question.

Living in Austin, I would LOVE to play UT. Think they are consistantly over rated and I think we would destroy them. However, I am in a bowl pool with a group of UT Exes, so that would make things difficult for me.....

OU's defense is suspect. I think we will beat them. With Tebow on our team, we will beat ANYONE!

I like our chances against the Sooners, but it'll be a hard-fought game. They've got a prolific offense.

If we win, I will not care one whit if Texas fans make a stink.
