He was terrible as an announcer, but that's pretty lame that they fired him for pointing out the obvious.

That is hilarious. They are protecting the program by getting rid of all those that dissent. Hilarious. Yes, he sucks, as does Gene. Gene rambles on and you have no idea of what's happening at that moment.

Don't even get me started on Gene. That idiot does the radio play-by-play for the Bucs and he's intolerable.

I know a1. I've tried to listen to him when he does Bucs games and I just can't. He is horrible. And for the record, I don't mind radio guys being homers, it's what their being paid to do. For example, Mick is a Gator homer but I think he does a pretty good job of calling a game.

agree w/ Todd...I expect you to be a homer...just don't suck - and don't go overboard (Susan what'sherface for the Yankees).

My favorite is when Gene will get ahead of himself during a play. He'll get going like, "Garcia drops back, passes down the sideline for Clayton. CAUGHT!!!!! No wait, he dropped it." You just want to drive the car off the road and die a fiery death in those moments.

I know exactly what you are talking about a1. He does that shit all the time.

My favorite Dickeroff moment was during the 30-0 WF shellacking of FSU...

I was driving to get somethign to eat after the UF game that day (I think it was against Kentucky), and Cismesia was lining up for a long FG 45+ yards...

Gene got all into it...

"and the kick is in the air...IT'S GOT PLENTY OF LEG!! IT'S GOT PLENTY OF LEG!!! PLENTY OF LEG!!! AND IT'S...oh he missed it to the right."

Oh, are you talking about that game that ended Wake Forest 30, Florida State 0?

Sorry, I just like having any excuse to type that out.
