Go to this http://www.investopedia.com and create a username. Try and use your same name as on here, so I can keep you all straight. From there, go to the Stock Simulator and suggest Games.

It's a private game named the Back Alley Bulls and Bears. Password is backalley66.

I've set everyone up so that your account starts out with $100,000. All trades are in U.S. dollars and other than that, I've given all available options to you--you can use margin, you can sell short, you can buy and sell options.

Any questions, post them here and we'll try and get them answered. Competition opens tomorrow with the market and runs through the end of the year (though we can change that if anyone wants).

I'll be entering the first of my trades tomorrow morning before the opening.

I haven't a clue when it comes to this sort of thing. Can you post a synopsis/rundown/how-to guide? Or...I suppose I could be like the women who fill out their tourney brackets based on nothing more than the perceived toughness of the schools' mascots.

Once you get registered, there's a tab on the game for Rankings. I put the settings so that everyone could see everyone else's trades.
