LOST - SPOILERS AHEAD!

Don't forget, Lost fans: tonight at 9 p.m. ABC will re-air the season 3 finale, but it will be an "enhanced" version, with captions that clue you in to things you otherwise might not know.

I don't know if it's gonna be pop-up video style or DVD on TV style.

Tomorrow night is the season premiere.

Tell me what happens tonight Doc...I don't think I'll get to watch it. I know I probably wouldn't notice the new stuff anyway, and I know you would.

Tomorrow night is our anniversary so we will be out tomorrow night. But I do plan on taping it. Now that I work from home, I can watch my DVR'd shows in the morning before the CA people get in and after I take the kids to school.
Okay, let's try this!

Damnit won't that show just go away

I thought I was the only person who felt this way. Most of the people I know love the show, and I find it excrutiatingly slow/boring.

Weg...just six years...it's flown by!

And I got to watch this last hour or so...I like the name of the Funeral Home being an anagram for Fast Forward. Interesting stuff. I also am not big of a fan that, so that the stuff about relating to Star Wars was a new thing for me. Although I did think Sawyer was always a bit Han Solo like...probably why I dig him.

Oooh, Hans Solo--now that's a character I can get behind.

Six years--you've been very "productive" during that short time!

I've never watched the show, yet I somehow hate it. How is that...what's wrong with me?

I dvr'd LOST last night and I'll watch it again when I have some time. I loved all the back history and the info given.

I'm a huge Smallville fan, and there is a new one on tonight. That is set up on the DVR also, and I'm copying LOST tonight while I watch Smallville.

The DVR is so cool! Just got it on Fri. Copied the TN-Bama basketball game, and Marty watched it yesterday. He loved that, and being able to rewind and watch things again.... I think that sold him on the DVR. He is very technically challenged.

Congrats on the anniversary Mom7!

This sounds kind of sad, but a DVR will change your life. It really gives you so much flexibility when watching TV that you're not a slave to the networks' schedule any more. You watch your favorite shows when you want.

SPOILERS BELOW!!

We learned some things last night.

First, it looks like only 6 passengers from Flight 815 get off the island - we know Jack, Kate and Hurley for sure. I'm guessing that Sawyer is a fourth, since Kate appears to hooked up with someone who isn't Jack at the end of last season's finale. Who are the other two? Note that Hurley told the cops he was one of the "Oceanic Six." This doesn't preclude other folks who weren't on 815 from getting off the island - Ben, Desmond and Juliet are possibilities. Do Michael and Walt count as part of the "Oceanic Six," assuming they really escaped the island?

Second, Hurley has now met the mysterious Jacob. Or is Hurley just crazy?

Third, something went down on the island that Hurley and Jack don't want to talk about, at least not to the authorities or the public. Part of this is probably that they left a bunch of folks on the island. Based on their conversation, I think it's probably the people who ended up following Locke (Hurley tells Jack that he's sorry for following Locke). In this episode's flash-forward, Hurley clearly wants to go back (Charlie's ghost had something to do with this, obviously). In the season 3 finale, Jack clearly wanted to go back, too.

My guess is that before the series ends, someone - maybe Jack, maybe Hurley, maybe all of the "Oceanic Six" - go back to the island to either rescue the ones they left behind or to live out the rest of their days.

I haven't gotten to watch it yet, but I actually like to get the "spoiler" alerts...I like to know a little about what I'm watching...it helps me understand and not miss things and then catch other things I may have missed if I didn't understand what was going on.

So Charlie is dead but his ghost is lingering?

Couldn't Claire and her baby also be possibilities for survivors/members of the Oceanic Six? And what was up with Hurley denying to the cop that he'd ever even met Anna Lucia? I liked how Hurley made it explicit that coming to the island and effectively losing all his money had been a good thing for him, as it simplified his life--set up a nice parallel to the flash forward where he was wanting to go back. Obviously, returning made things more complicated than what he can deal with.

The flash-forward scenes from this episode focus on Hurley. He's been seeing Charlie, which lands him back in the mental institution but we don't know for sure whether Charlie is just Hurley's hallucination or if Charlie is really a ghost.

I think Claire and Aaron have a good chance of making it off the island. Desmond specifically saw them getting onto a helicopter in his vision, though that doesn't necessarily mean they get off the island. But those two would make the Six complete under my theory (unless you don't count Aaron as one of the Six because he's just a baby).

Hurley lying to the cop makes sense in light of Hurley and Jack's conversation in the gymnasium. It's clear that the Oceanic Six are hiding what really happened from the public/authorities. My guess is that the Six left a bunch of folks behind but told the world that they were the only survivors.

Hurley (and later Jack) are clearly feeling a lot of guilt, probably about leaving folks behind.

I watched Lost for the very first time last night and did not have a clue what was happening. It looked like a good show but I wish I had a clue what the hell was going on.

time to go to blockbuster and rent the first 3 seasons. i doubt you could figure out enough to make any sense or get any enjoyment out of the show without that.

I will probably just give up on it instead. I know that sounds dumb, but I don't have time to catch up on three seasons. That would take forever. Each episode is an hour, 20-25 episodes a year. There is no way I could spend 60-75 hours catching up on a show.
