The media really has a boner for these guys, don't they? I just saw a headline, asking whether they should get a split championship. Please stop this shit. They beat Illinois. Big f'ing deal.

I guess it'll need to be split three ways then...considering what Georgia did to hawaii. That was at least as impressive.

Or four ways. Missouri also has the same record as USC and put a pretty impressive ass-whipping on Arkansas.

I will agree that USC looks impressive. That team is not the same team that lost to Stanford when half the team was hurt. They could have beat Illinois by 60 if they didn't take their foot off the pedal. I am still not as sold on uga. I think Hawaii is just that bad. They only played TWO teams with winning records all year long.

USC and UGA both looked awesome. Them playing each other in the Rose bowl would have been da proverbial bomb! USC certainly doesn't deserve any sniff because of the Stanford loss. Both USC and UGA will probably be #1 and #2 in all pre-season polls.

That was the column I was initially reacting to. I wrote that cat an email, asking if we could give all the teams a trophy, like it was a soccer tourny for third graders, or was this was just another case of the media's sick man-crush on Pete Carroll.
