second drive...got a first down...then got lit up on a 3rd down option play...very pedestrian at best
Chase Daniel
he's led them to 2
field goals. one of those was thanks to a big PI call.
heard some real BS earlier today during pre-game. forgot what former heisman winner they interviewed but his excuse for not voting for tebow is that QBs are held to a higher win/loss standard than other positions.
imo, any excuse for not voting for a sophmore.

If Tebow doesn't win this damned award it's a fraud and I won't give a shit who wins it from here on out.
What a crock.

and chase, you look like a prick on the sidelines, first with your arms at your side, incredulous that one of your passes could be picked. but then you take off the helmet and show the retarded chinstrap?
I've never met a retarded person who wasn't smiling.

i've already called it a fraud since Crouch won over Grossman. if Tebow doesn't win it would only continue to confirm the voters have their heads so far up their asses they need a glass bellybuttons to see.

My husband was talkling to one of his coaches who had just had a visit from Billy Gonzalez...he was there for a stud reciever at this school (Titusville). Anyway, Billy said Tebow getting the Heisman was a done deal. And there is some website that predicts the Heisman (Bill knows where it is) that has been pretty accurate over the years and they have Tebow in the lead by a lot. Assuming Chase keeps it up like he does tonight, I can't imagine how they could give it to anyone else.
Okay, let's try this!

What about McFadden? Is this award for the best college player overall or just for this season? Gameday made a good point about how Tebow's stats will probably never be this incredible again because UF will have a running game eventually. Hell throw Kevin Smith from UCF in there. I will admit Tebow has had an incredible year but this has to be a statistical conversation because we can't say he is leading his team to a championship or anything so this award will be based solely on stats. Central Michigan's QB is the the first in NCAA history to have a 3000/1000 (passing/rushing) season. Tebow has done some amazing things but so have some other deserving people. To say this Heisman is a slam dunk is a bit much I think.

Joe,
the Heisman Trophy goes to the "Most Outstanding Player for the 2007 season".
Who, in your opinion, has been the "most outstanding"?
Tebow has put up unprecedented numbers in the best conference in the country. McFadden couldn't put up even servicable numbers against FIU. The award says nothing about the team winning championships (or hell, even games). It is an individual award.
I ask you again, all things considered (schedule, position, stats, etc...) who has been the "most outstanding" for the season?
IMO, it's got to be Tebow.
PS - did you really just bring the Central michigan QB into the discussion for Heisman?? You would've lost less credibility if you'd said Andre Woodson.

McFadden is inconsistent. I blame that partially on being a part of a shitty team.
But what Joey won't tell you is that last week, after the win over FSU, that (and I quote) "If Tebow doesn't win the Heisman, he's getting robbed." Maybe it was the beer talking when he said that...

All Im sayin is McFadden's numbers would be better with an at least average quarterback and Tebow's wouldn't be so great with an at least average running back. How many of Timmy's TD's came within the 5 yard line when for all consideration he became a glorified fullback? McFadden also to have some of his biggest games against LSU and other sound competition. It's a lot easier to stop a running back with a crappy qb by lining up with 8 or 9 men in a box then stopping a qb with quality skill positions around him.
Chase Daniel
So you are wanting to punch a QB because he is versatile and can do what, up to this point, no other QB has done? That is a weak argument.
“The Knave abideth.” I dare speak not for thee, but this maketh me to be of good comfort; I deem it well that he be out there, the Knave, being of good ease for we sinners.

weakest argument ever and I don't think you actually believe this, you're just trying to antagonize. All Im sayin is McFadden's numbers would be better with an at least average quarterback and Tebow's wouldn't be so great with an at least average running back. So, what you're saying is that everyone knew McFadden would get the ball yet couldn't stop him? That completely disregards Felix Jones who is every bit as good and is who opened up that option read they would run. Also, without a fullback EVERYONE knew TT would get the ball and they still couldn't stop him. If those runs inside the 5 were so easy, how come Chase Daniel couldn't pull it off? Tebow did everything for the offense (in a very heisman like performance) and you're trying to knock him because HE DID TOO MUCH???? C'mon Joe.
Chase Daniel
timmy's a rb with qb skills. he deserves the award.
Chase Daniel
Dood, you sound like one of the USC homers last season who were lobbying for Dwayne Jarrett. Why not give the award to any one of Michigan's three failures this season by that argument? "Hear ya' go, Mario Manningham! You've got hands made of concrete, but you wins teh Heisman!"What about McFadden? Is this award for the best college player overall or just for this season?
Chase Daniel
Even with a good RB (hello, we DO have Percy and Moore wasn't horrible), we would still use TT for those 5 year "drill 'em in" runs...that's the whole point of the option offense...defenses will ALWAYS have to account for him because he will always be a run threat.
I'm telling you, Katie must of called out Tebow's name during sex or something! I know how that feels because my husband will likely do that one day!!! I've never seen a man crush like Bill has on that boy.

Yes it should. If it doesn't it will be the biggest election theft in history.this should eliminate him from serious Heisman candidacy
If the devil had a name, it'd be Chuck Finley.

Fuck McFadden! He has been inconsistent all year. This is not a career award, it is for the best player in 2007!
