Schintzius, a 7-foot-2 center, played at UF from 1987-90, helping lead Florida to its first three NCAA Tournament appearances in school history.

Sad news. I knew he had been sick at times. RIP Dwayne.

I'm just glad Billy brought him back and sort of reconciled the program with him before he passed. Those were some crazy years with Schintzius and Mad Max putting Florida basketball on the map.

Sad to see. I hope he had a good NBA career.
