let's get this shit rollin

this is how this is gonna play out:

* meyer's gonna get good quality asst coaches because they all know he aint lasting full term as head coach...perhaps he gets sick again...perhaps he gets the AD position...whatever happens, the asst coaches are chompin at the bit to work with meyer to get their 'foot in the door' at osu

* osu fans always find the silver lining in the big heaping pile of crap laid out in front of them...look for mediocrity out of columbus and look for a full 5yr allowance for meyer to succeed...i'm bettin he aint makin it that far

* meyer's health issues will again emerge.....if he ever had them to begin with

* look for muschamp to use meyer's departure from 'retirement' as a motivational tool for the gator nation

* look for radbag and others from the BA in ann arbor November 30th, 2013 wearing the orange and blue....and a wolverine hoodie

I would agree with all of this. If he doesn't produce multiple Big 10/12/whatever titles and NCs within 5 years, he is gone.

I REALLY want to not be pissed about this and wish him well. I do wish him well. But I can't help shaking the feeling like how you would feel if your ex got married again.

i kinda don't feel the same about it being an ex-spouse remarrying

it's like my commander-in-chief retiring (because he loves his country so much but he knows he's unable to provide his country the necessary 100% required of him) and then taking up citizenship with another country and then becoming THEIR commander-in-chief

I think he'll do well. The Big 10 isn't all that great. What worries me is that he'll steal solid recruits from Florida.

As for his health, buckeye guy here told me he heard it was misdiagnosed acid reflux. My initial thought was that Shands is better than that. I feel bad for Shelley, but not too bad cause that's a lot of cash.

If, and I mean if, he makes it very long, he'll have the NCAA sanctions as an excuse for the first couple of years. I'm sure he'll win given that it is the Big (insert # here). I don't think he'll do as well as he did here, not by a long shot. There is now too much game tape for D coordinators to be completely caught off guard. I don't see MNC's in his future there.

My source in Gainesville said it was much worse than we were told. Just an FYI.

And I agree - stick to your backyard now, don't come down here for our recruits.

i guess i'm bitter...don't know why i am...just am...after reading your gatorgary posting, i'm more bitter...i have a bad taste in my mouth about this because the whole stay here was a big sham...yes we got 2 back to back titles out of it...but him talking about how great it was to be a florida gator was total bullshit.
