No big surprises so far, which is good. Kitchens is in which is somewhat of a surprise but one people thought would happen.

Bill is watching ESPNU this morning...they have live coverage. They were just talking about how FSU is closing strong getting Christian Jones in the last hour or so. Maybe they'll finally give us some actual competition in the next few years?

We got everybody we were supposed to get and added Kitchens, Coxson, and Chaz Green. Good day for UF. Easy the best class this year and arguably the best ever assembled (on paper, of course).

FSU added Christian Jones and Christian Green, no big surprises on either account. However, they did miss on Deerling, Dorsey, and Lemonier - big swings and misses there. They only got one OL (a 3* they stole from the Zooker).

Here's some more numbers for you, for those of you w/ nole friends crowing about their class:

Scout Top 300: UF - 20, FSU - 7
Rivals Top 250: UF - 19, FSU - 6
ESPN Top 150: UF - 17 (a record), I don't know FSU's # yet.

Miami's class is just putrid. Georgia regressed. Tennessee actually faired pretty well.

So I was hoping we could steal that Seantrel Henderson guy, but it wasn't meant to be and that was just greed on my part.

Anyway, can anyone please explain to me why the 'experts' were saying it was such a big announcement right before it happened as if it was a huge surprise. About an hour or so before all of the other schools (aside from usc) in the running for him had already announced their classes. Then he signed with usc - shocking!

Once a class is announced, it's set, right?

No. The year we signed Avery Atkins (if memory serves correct) Meyer had done his press conference before the LOI came in.

^^^I saw them loose TWO to UCLA yesterday...two guys that were big enough that they had the press there to cover their decisions and they put on Bruins hats. Bill and I were giddy about that.
Okay, let's try this!

It sounds like the Henderson kid just verballed to Lame. Looks like dad is waiting to see how the NCAA hearings shake out before they sign on the dotted line.

On another note, have you seen the youtube highlights for Leon Orr? Some joker posted them at GC and the kid is unbelievable. I think he's coming in as a 6'5" 300 lb DT, but played a lot of tight end in high school. The kid goes up and makes some serious aerial catches and runs routes! Freakin' amazing athlete!

We're #1 according to ESPN which follows Scout I believe. They have UF #1 and Texas #2 with USC #6. Rivals has USCw #1 and UF #2.

It'd be great to see Lane barred from bowl games for a couple years.
