It's like eating a real meal for the first time after a days-long bout of a stomach virus. It's always extra delicious.

gotten a few pms asking on where i stand...most have been skeptical pm's thinking that this drastic cleanse is just a quick hit of weight loss but over time will net me nothing...understandable since these fad diets of the last 10 years have been just that.
ALSO - i don't know if y'all know but slideman is in the business of health awareness...he and i just had a very lengthy chat about this phenomenon and thought it best just to give an update
well - i'm 1 week short of making it 2 months since i've completed the cleanse....my exercise in the last 2 months has been minimal as i'm running only once a week...my runs are still very productive (for me) as running 8 laps (2 miles) around the track seems to be the standard norm...phenomenal for me as i'm not a runner and get bored as fuck...i still can't believe the stamina and endurance i now have...i believe it's because of weight loss...i HAVE to believe the cleansing of toxins in the body have given me new found energy...i also have to acknowledge the IMMENSE affect this has had on my psyche and mental outlook towards food...
as far as diet...i'm not really dieting and never really have since i finished the cleanse...i'm eating whatever i want to eat...it's just i'm very selective as to what i want...no fast foods...no processed foods...chewing thoroughly and drinking lots of water....it's probably a brainwash of some sort but nonetheless, i'm very cognizant of what i take into my body...portion control is at a premium (not by choice but because it takes less to fill me up)...treats such as desserts and sweets have been eaten selectively and free of guilt...i'm drinking beer...am drinking what i like which are the heavy beers...the harps, the guinesses, the stouts...all of it...am eating breads and pastries...not a lot of course...have toast when i like, have bagels, pastas, sauces, etc....like i say - no mcdonalds, no donuts, handful of french fries are ok but not a plate, no chips, no soda.
so i'm 178 which is my new low...have been hovering around the 179-181 level the last month without really working on it.
harvey (slider) is very skeptical and believes this might be short lived...it might possibly be and we'll only know when it happens i guess right? until then, i've gotta say i'm a huge fan of the cleanse...since i came of it, friends and family have commented on the new physique...i've essentially doubled my wardrobe as i've reintroduced shirts and pants i had gotten to big to fit in...EVENTUALLY, i can see having to drop some of the suits and pants that are just too big to wear now...friends and family have become so impressed w/the transformation that they've asked me about the cleanse and at current, 6 people have decided to try it...regrettably, not one of the 6 was able to finish the 10 days...most though have vowed to try again which is good.
just updating y'all and if anyone out there wants to do this, use me as a resource and i'll be there for any questions/concerns you might have. if i see an adverse affect, i will be sure to post...i don't earn any money by advertising this so nothing is to gain here but knowledge and a new lease on life...just wanting to spread the word on this and share my great experience....hopefully you can share your positive experiences as well.
thanks.

so i'm on this "Master Cleanse" diet
I may HAVE to do it after the holidays....I've eaten a LOT of food that I'm convinced is "sticking to my ribs" so to speak. I know that once the New Year comes I am going to have to do something to both get back on track and then lose that extra 10 pounds to get me to my ultimate goal.
Okay, let's try this!
so i'm on this "Master Cleanse" diet
remember - it's a cleansing of toxins and impurities from your body that 'may' be there for who knows when...if you're interested in 'starting fresh' and ridding yourself of these toxins, you 'may' strengthen your immune system...you 'may' feel more revived...you 'may' feel more endurance.
oh and btw - you lose a shit load of weight and your mind gets 're-trained'

I can safely say that I'll never try anything like this, but I'm glad you've had a positive experience, rad. The body doesn't tolerate toxins, anyway, as long as one's internal organs (the ones responsible for eliminating toxins, that is) are working properly, but fasting will certainly cause one to lose weight.

Straight up bullshit. Your liver and kidneys should be doing a fine job getting toxins out of your body, and if they're not, you need to see a doctor, because you're in deep shit.remember - it's a cleansing of toxins and impurities from your body that 'may' be there for who knows when...if you're interested in 'starting fresh' and ridding yourself of these toxins, you 'may' strengthen your immune system...you 'may' feel more revived...you 'may' feel more endurance.
You lost weight because you didn't eat much. Your stomach shrank some, so now you eat smaller portions. If you continue to eat smaller portions and exercise, it's not surprising that you lost weight.
I've lost 15 pounds in the last 3 weeks because I stopped eating lunch at work. I don't need any fancy "cleansing" diet.
I share slider's skepticism, but it really depends on you. If you're the type of guy to slip back into bad habits (as most people are, including myself), then you're gonna get fat again. If you've truly made a lifestyle change, you're gonna stay skinny.
Anyway, I think I've made my position clear, but I'm glad that you've had success. I know how hard it is to lose weight and keep it off and anything you've found to be helpful is a positive in my book.
so i'm on this "Master Cleanse" diet
15 pounds in three weeks?? I can't skip meals, though. The resulting moodiness and/or shakiness isn't worth it for me.

the cleanse is an objective...a 10 day project to help you get to better habits...skipping meals isn't healthy.
so i'm on this "Master Cleanse" diet
But drinking nothing but salt water, lemonade, senna tea and a couple of tablespoons of maple syrup for ten days is?...skipping meals isn't healthy.
Sorry...not a buyer. You lost weight because you starved yourself of protein and filled up on liquid. The syrup provided some carbs for energy, but that's about it.
You're continuing to lose weight or maintain your weight because you're eating smaller portions and exercising.
Can't feed 'em? Don't breed 'em. People, dogs, whatever.

Skipping meals isn't healthy, you're right. I haven't been doing it intentionally, I'm just real busy at work lately (and I'm not complaining because I need to lose weight). I don't plan on making it my lifestyle. So, if I skip lunches every working day for 15 days (I eat on the weekends and I ate a shitload at Thanksgiving), I don't see that as much different than what you did for 10 days. There's little nutritional value in what you consumed during your diet cleanse.the cleanse is an objective...a 10 day project to help you get to better habits...skipping meals isn't healthy.
Which, by the way, I don't really see how that 10-day plan helps you get better habits. Unless you want to get in the habit of drinking tea, lemonade and maple syrup. Eating healthier and exercising is a good goal, and as long as that's part of your plan, I have no objections.
Sounds like a lot, but let's keep it in perspective. I went from 225 down to 210. Also, men lose weight faster than women.15 pounds in three weeks?? I can't skip meals, though. The resulting moodiness and/or shakiness isn't worth it for me.
My all-time high was 250, when my son was born (there's something to that whole sympathetic pregnancy thing, though; I gained 20 pounds while my wife was pregnant and lost it again soon after). My all-time adult low was 162, when I was in college and working out 5-6 hours a day. Right now, I'd be happy to get under 200, and ecstatic if I could get down to 185. That seems like a healthy weight for my size frame. I was a lean, mean swimmin' machine at 162, but that seems to be way underweight for my current level of activity.

Yeah, I think if I ever got back down to my college weight at around 105, I would look like the Tales from the Crypt dude...my wrinkles would REALLY show...you know what they say, "fat don't crack".
Okay, let's try this!
so i'm on this "Master Cleanse" diet
try it and you'll see...i don't blame you for being sceptical...it's easy to be a non-believer and discredit it's merits...it is and i don't blame you....try it and you'll see how your habits change...mine have.Which, by the way, I don't really see how that 10-day plan helps you get better habits.the cleanse is an objective...a 10 day project to help you get to better habits...skipping meals isn't healthy.

I believe you have changed your habits, but I think that's more of a function of your willpower than it is any magical cleansing that went on.
And I am half of the opinion that you're trolling.

If I get below 160, I have so little body fat that I stop having periods. TMI, yes, but that just goes to show you that high school or college weight isn't necessarily great later in life. (I weighed 145-160 in those years.)
