Anyone watching Miami-FSU?

Football's so new and great that I can even watch this matchup. Just turned it on. Close game, but FSU's been laying lumber in the few minutes I've watched. They hop like punks after every play, too.

Damn, it's like there's a no-defense treaty in effect here.

This idiot covering the FSU-UM game on SportsCenter keeps calling FSU Florida: "It's 23-14 Florida." Did it twice. You'd think they'd be better trained than that.

Wonder if this will be like a couple of years ago when everyone called it a match-up for the ages and that the defenses were so good? When in reality it was two woeful offenses. Is this year two good offenses or two inept defenses?

Looked like they were more mediocre on all accounts than the epic fail of a few years ago you described 95. Of course, when two shitty teams play it's easy for both of them to look decent....good thought.

I really liked this game although the defenses on both sides were poor...no secondary except FSU has the Greg Reid kid...arrrrgh. He is a player and I wish we didn't let him get away. I liked Miami's QB...very calm and cool...didn't come off all cocky and thug-like. It could have gone either way to be honest. Actually, we had decided to root for Miami (me because of my family and friends), Bill because some of them wear Schutt helmets. But when FSU was about to score in the last 20 seconds, I left to put Nate to bed (he had taken a long nap and well...don't judge me)...after he finally falls asleep, I come out and Bill rewinds it and lets me watch the end...I assumed FSU had won because I heard the band playing and cheering from Nate's room. Anyway, it was a good ending and HA HA to FSU and that idiot Jimbo. He made some dumbass calls as did Miami in their kick-offs...duh.
Okay, let's try this!

You saw the same game I did m7. That is exactly what I was thinking last night. I'd have to add that I though Miami looked poorly coached at times and that the FSU coaches seem to make stupid decisions.

Tebow & Co. must be licking their chops to get a piece of that FSU secondary. Good lord.

Very entertaining game compared to that 10-7 disaster a few years ago. I think both offenses are improved, but their improvement was exaggerated by those atrocious secondaries.

FSU's secondary will improve over the year. Ponder looked pretty competent -- best FSU QB in a while.

I was watching "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada" with Mrs. Toothy through the first three quarters. It's a pretty good movie. Tommy Lee Jones should be a national monument.
