Explain to me how Alex Sink is a career politician...Yes she is.
One thing I DID like was that she is not a career politician

Alex Sink for Governor!
A vote for Alex Sink is a vote for John Fox's future!
Also, she's been a fantastic boss, and would make a fine Governor.

I completely agree... I think some in the current administration are working a little too hard to tip the scales toward the American Auto industry.

is calling obama 'barry' disrespectful?
I don't think it's disrespectful unless it's to his face (simply for the lack of formality). It would be the same as calling George W. Bush "Georgie" when first meeting him. It's Mr. President, or President Obama. To us here, however, who gives a damn?

Black people love Obama. Film at 11.
Oh yeah... I love me some southern political history, and the term "black belt" comes up in just about every piece of literature you can fund on the subject.

Terry voted and didn't get a sticker. I didn't vote because I never changed my address with the voter registration people when I moved four years ago. I then was able to recall that, four years ago, I was severely depressed and didn't give a chit about things like changing the address on my voter r...

the black panthers are intimidating voters in PA
I actually agree that it was an attempt at intimidation, but I just found it kind of funny that the videophone guy who confronted them seemed to be the only one bothered by it. Also, I was browsing Too Hot and came across this gem on the subject: "Sorry I had to vote in the middle of your bla...

If you are a citizen, you are a citizen and as such, you have the right to vote. There are plenty of stupid and/or forgetful Americans on all sides, but they are still Americans, and so long as they aren't convicted criminals, have the right/duty/privilege to vote I'm pretty sure that no one has a ...

how big was gore's lead on bush during october polls?
I don't know what the hell you're talking about, Rad... Gore did not have an 11 point lead in October. At least not in any reputable polls. Here's what I've found: CNN/Time poll: Bush holds edge (10-27-00) Poll: Voters divided over whether Gore, Bush would better handle Mideast crisis (10-16-00) Pol...

I just don't understand why anyone would steal a sign, anyway. Who cares? My neighbor has a McCain Palin sign on his yard... He's my buddy... I respect his opinion, I just disagree. Why the hell are people so damn petty?

I'm all for as many people voting as possible. Not me. I think we should have voting restrictions. I have yet to come up with the perfect solution as to how, though. However, I am working on it. That just blows my mind... What kind of restrictions should we have? Poll Tax? Literacy Test? I think we...

I'll play the other side. I mean, I agree with Todd. I guess we're finally gonna elect a brother, but we're giving him a janitor's job. He doesn't get a fair shake. He does start from a really lousy position -- that's a bipartisan lousy. The cupboard is bare. The nation is in recession. The deficit...

Congress has about a 17% approval rating right now...did I read that right? They are a sad group and I learned a lot about them during this whole bailout/rescue thing...they are screwed up. Yet the incumbency rate is as high as ever... What does that tell us? People hate "Congress" but th...
