🤔Ask TGB To live and die in L.A.

I have a multi-day trip planned to SoCal in a couple weeks. I have a whole day free to do whatever I want.

What should I do in the Los Angeles area? I've heard a lot of the touristy places are kind of shitty, but I don't know if I will ever be out there again.

I'm actually staying in Irvine, but will have a rental car. It's just me - no family to worry about.

I recently visited to take the train to Denver. Stayed in Little Tokyo close to Union Station. I just drove around town. Down Hollywood. Up into the Hollywood Hills. On the coast to Malibu. Traffic is horrendous at rush hour.

yeah I should point out my recs are easier access from Irvine and unlikely to involve sitting for hours on the freeway, doc, but if you want a real feel for LA you might choose to go pgs route.

also eat chinese food its 1000x better there

I missed the Irvine part. I stayed at Long Beach once. It was nice. Queen Mary is there. I did enjoy driving through LA. If you play GTA5 you feel like you've already been there lol.

I just planned another train/car trip. Fly into Sacramento and drive south down the PCH to LA. Then the train south to San Diego.
