to All Dog Owners in the West Building
On more than a dozen occasions, over the last year or so, I've seen and had to step over/around puddles of dog urine in our West Bldg elevators.
The most recent one was Friday. Noticed at 5.45pm in Elevator 1. (photo)
(And no, these are NOT rain water puddles - I am only counting ones I see on clear sunny days like today.)
I have shared this -and discussed this with Tamika several times. She and I plan to raise it formally to our Board.
But I also wanted to appeal directly to the owners here in our building.
We all pay a lot of money to live here. And we just spent over a million dollars refurbishing our elevators. So I'm sure, like me, you expect a quiet, safe and clean place.
So, please. If your dog pees in the elevator, be courteous, be a good neighbor - and CLEAN it up. Don't just walk away and expect the rest of us to tolerate it, or the Carlyle staff to clean up after your dog. Not their job.
As Tamika reminds me - pet ownership here is a privilege not a right. And as I tell all my dog-owning friends, its always the owner's responsibility, never the dog's.
Thank you.
