So I joined this group related to my job and never got any emails about any functions or anything useful. It wasn't that expensive, but when dues came up again I told them I didn't see value and I'd like to not renew. So then I get autobilled on my work amex and go slightly hillbilly finding their president on linkedin and asking them if they are running a scam. I get profuse apologies and a refund.

Now I've volunteered to set up a coalition to comment on this permitting thing, and someone invited this lady whose name sounds familiar so I goggle her and I think its the president of this group I sort of overracted with a few years ago. Do I acknowlege this or just pretend it did not happen?

This is all going to be zoom meetings, no face to face.

LOL okay thanks. I will tell my friend who is involved and forwarded her the invite because its similar to something SHE did to someone else we're involved with who turned out to be really nice.
