Likes/Dislikes/Thanks/Reputation

I activated a new "Thanks" button, looks like a Facebook-style thumbs-up in the upper right hand corner of other peoples' posts.

Not sure I like it - I can change it to say "like" instead of "thank," but it's sorely lacking a "dislike" as well. I want people to be able to give negative feedback, too!

There's a "reputation" system I can install instead, but it may be a little clunky-looking, not sure.

Not sure if we even need this, but I like the idea of giving negative ratings to idiots like reb and vd.

Those of you who are using this, do you like the comment thing or no? I can turn it off, makes it one less click. I can also turn on liking/commenting on a user’s profile so you can still tell them how shitty they are.

I like the one click thing. Where did the comments show up if you put one in? I made a comment just to see where it went and never saw it. Does only the original poster see the comments?

Yeah I think only the receiver sees the comments, but I disabled them. I think one-click like/dislike is probably fine. I do miss seeing who has liked/disliked a post, though.

How to you post videos on the new forum? Which icon do you click?

If you're linking to an already-hosted video, you can just copy and paste the link. If you're trying to upload a video as an attachment, it should work the same as the old.... Except attachments aren't working at the moment. At the next forum upgrade, I will fix that.

Also, this just started this morning. I liked some posts and it went fine, then all of a sudden I started getting this if I liked something:

"You can not give reputation points so soon. You may try again later."

Yeah, there's a flood limit. I'll see if I can relax it.

If you want, you can try to upload your videos to imgur. You can do that without an account - but if they're not safe for work, make sure they are "hidden."

Thanks. They're just the stock ones, I haven't really had the energy to customize them.

Presently, reactions aren't working under iOS - there's no option for it at all. I've contacted the developer of the reactions feature and he's working on it.
