⚡ACHTUNG!⚡ History tards

Watching a cool video on medieval fighting from a fighting book that's centuries old. Duels were apparently quite common, but the interesting part is women dueled men. But to make it fair, a hole was dug so the main was standing waist deep and couldn't move around. The woman used a rock in a sheet and the man a wood sword like thing and they fought to the death.

awesome

That’s cool.

Just got in a graphic novel version of the Art of War for my son. He’s going to love it. He’s always asking about battle tactics and weapons. He already has a historical weapon encyclopaedia that caused a little bit of a stir at school. If you know of anything else similar let me know.

That was a fascinating video. An air bladder fueled dive suit in the 1400s, hardened leather "bells" to hide under and walk up to the gate that rocks couldn't crush from above or arrows fully penetrate. A very different picture of how medieval and siege warfare is portrayed.
