Kicking off the day watching….Independence Day :lol: All hail Goldblum.

On another note, GPD is on the warpath. Last night about 8, I drove the 1 mile to Fresh Market. I was behind 3 GPD officers at the light. Between the light and FM, all 3 had someone pulled over. On my way back home, all 3 had someone new pulled over. I put the cold stuff in the fridge and head to Publix, 2 more pulled over. I wake up this morning, first thing I hear is….police pulling someone over.

Wtf. The rate trooper over here, but you never see GPD in this part of town. And actually, one of the people pulled over, I think was outside city limits. Maybe not when they turned oj the sirens, but definitely out by the time they caught up to them.

But I’m curious what petting charges they got pulled for to grab 3 people within 30 seconds of leaving a light when you see the cops right behind you. It wasn’t speeding.

I've noticed a lot of activity near me, too. I think they step up traffic enforcement before major holidays to increase visibility and send a message.
 
Yeah, I’m sure it’s a pre emotive deterrent. Let everyone headed to bars see them out and nailing people.

Although here at 39th and 43rd, there are no bars. A couple bar and grill types and a couple more restaurants. Pretty insignificant area.
 
They are doing an increased enforcement deal in Florida and across the SE. I heard the ASO guy talk about it on the radio the other day.

Who's monitoring the police. One of cops in front of me did an illegal u-turn with no blinker. Just hit the brakes right in front of me and did the U-turn across 3 lanes. No lights, no blinker, and cutting off a couple of oncoming vehicles.

William Henry Harrison (#9) and Benjamin Harrison (#23). The only reason I know this is that the web site I downloaded them from had this picture labeled as "The Harrison Brothers" or something like that - in fact, Benjamin was William Henry's grandson. WHH was the first President to die in office (and was also the oldest to be elected President until Reagan); BH was the first President to lose the popular vote but win the Electoral College.
