Did you ever eat anything you thought would be good but was in fact

Awful?

I did this, along with the coughing out powder

Also marzipan- I would see the little fruits in sears catalog and always thought they looked great and were some special rich people food. Someone gave my mother in law some and I excitedly asked if I could have one. My husband tried to warn me but I wasn’t about to be stopped from reaching the pinnacle and omg it was so disgusting

Coffee. Smells so good, but tastes so bitter. You get used to it, and you can mellow it out with cream and sweeten it up, but that first time you try it... blech.

beer, wine and booze too

i like ginger candy and one of my coworkers asked me for it and I tried to explain its very strong and bitter but she insisted and then when she ate it she was angry at me for being what I warned her about.

I have a hard time respecting a man who doesn't drink black coffee. It's like a limp handshake

i hardly ever drink it, only when tea isn't available, and even then ts generally over half creamer, preferably french vanilla or some flavor. this is generally at construction conferences that are 90% men so they get a good chuckle out of me juggs.

Honestly it's baffling. It takes an American to take a substance like coffee that has some reasonable health benefits and pollute it with massive amounts of cream and sugar, basically turning it into a milkshake.

But I do think those of us who drink it black are in the minority these days.

My first cup has cream and sugar in it. Then I just keep adding coffee to it. By the 3rd cup it is basically black.

Half and Half, no sugar. 2 mugs.

I drink my tea unsweet, which is what I drink day in and out. Coffee is generally a pick me up at conference or when shopping with my friends and I'll have carmel latte or something. its like hot chocolate, def a treat.

and black upsets my tummy (LOLZ)

I can't do unsweet tea. I'll drink unsweet tea if I go out to eat occasionally, but otherwise I live off water, coffee, and kombucha. I do drink various hot teas instead of coffee on occasion.

i never developed a taste for sweet drinks. I think because our neighbor owned a grocery store that burned down and in the rubble there were like 10000 bottles of diet cola and we got them for free (some bottles had smoke that would come out when we opened them and my mom said they weren't safe and not to drink those).

Pretty much the same. I weaned off sugar with the intent to wean off the half and half, too, but I just can't do it. Going black is a bridge too far for me - sorry, Juggs, I'll just be a limp-wristed girly-man the rest of my life.
