A1A, followed by Floridays and Last Mango in Paris are probably my favorite items cover to cover (and I think Fruitcakes is underrated). But my favorite songs of his are random on mediocre albums with hit or miss songs. Savannah Fare Well, Take Another Road, Beach House on the Moon, Cowboy in the Jungle. Ok there's a ton of them

He went to Paris, Desdemona's building a rocket ship, Delaney talks to statues, Pacing the cage, The weather is here wish you were beautiful, Havana daydreaming.

I only know his hits.

While living in Tallahassee, one of the radio stations would have a buffet morning either on Saturdays or Sundays. I like Buffett, but he has a ton of awful songs.

The first time I remember hearing Buffett was some UF frat house blasting Why Dont We Get Drunk and Screw off their balcony in my first year there 76 or 77. When I sailed through the Bahamas in the early 80s he was in his sailboat phase and had just come out with the You Had to Be There live double album. It was recorded in Miami and the Fox theatre in Atlanta. Lots of keys and sailing references. Band at its best drug fueled makeup at that time in my opinion. No fucking steel drums. Every anchorage you would hear somebody's cassette player playing that album. Great version of God's Own Drunk, and sailing songs like Landfall, Tampico Trauma and my favorite Morris' Nightmare.

Always wanted to see him in concert but never got to. The only time I ever did see him was at Emerald Bay marina in the southern Bahamas a few years ago sitting on the stern of his 200 something foot yacht Continental Drifter IV or V. It had a tiki hut lol.

Nice

Saw him a few times in concert...a great time. Everyone drunk, stone, and singing every word. One year, pretty well shitfaced, I tried to get out of a different exit to get around the crowd along with 3 or 4 other morons. Turns out we were at the rear where Buffett was heading to his limo, right on the other side of a locked gate. He stopped and came to the gate for a couple minutes to talk to us. It was pretty cool of him to even notice and not just rush off to the limo. Friendly as could be (also a little or a lot drunk himself).

He spent some time up in these parts long ago and had a house on the Suwannee. It was in my dad's neck of the woods near his hunting camp. Everyone knew about the nightly parties at Buffett's river crib and everyone was welcome.

Have any in particular that you really hate? He definitely has some real stinkers, but I don't know if I'd personally say "a ton". I think a lot of them are just an acquired taste. I do think his "awful" songs came later in his career.

I canā€™t remember, itā€™s been a long time. I wouldnā€™t listen to that station during the Buffett segments because of the full library. And I do really like Buffett, seen him in concert a couple times.
