Just got an instant pot that can air fry, it is great. Need a bit more capacity though.

I have an Instapot that I've used exactly twice in 2 or 3 years. Even the larger one has limited capacity and that's a big reason I don't use it much. And of course, I have the time to let it cook slowly and properly since I work from home. If I was on a time crunch, maybe I'd use it more. I used for the 2nd time just a few weeks ago when the kid wanted to make a recipe out of a kid's cookbook that used an Instapot. The chicken just wasn't all that tender like it claims.

i have never had a crock pot, instant pot or air fryer.

I wouldn't have an air fryer if it wasn't for the kid. When you need some frozen fries or chicken tenders or something, the kid can do it herself. I've never actually tried the "healthy" frying without oil. I just use it to "fry" the pre-cooked shit

Crock pots can be pretty great. I don't use mine like I use to, but when I wanted to let something cook while I'm at work or overnight, it's nice to have. But if you don't like leftovers, cook for a bunch of people, etc., there's no point. At this point, I think chicken taco soup is the only thing I use it for.

Yeah I make a lot of soups and stews and just use the stove. I’ve always had a small kitchen so couldn’t see the logic of having another large thing to deal with

Yeah I use the dutch oven and stove for most every soup/stew. You get the same tender meat in a couple hours as an 8 hour crockpot. Using boneless skinless chicken breast is the exception. That's where the crockpot wins.

I do hate planning ahead for meals. I've asked a hundred times why I go to Publix 4 or 5 days a week instead of once or twice. Because when I plan ahead and by a week of groceries, I change my mind about what I want to eat, usually forget to freeze it, and I end up throwing away a shit load of food.
