🤔Ask TGB Anyone ever used

a paint sprayer? More specifically, a hand held model for indoor use?

About to have to do a good bit of painting. Wondering if it's easy to get a consistent/smooth coverage without practice and does it make all the taping worth it?

I've used one before, but probably 15 years ago, and for an outdoor project. They tend to spit and get clogged, so it's important that you get a quality model and you may want to thin your paint a little. Coverage and speed are pretty good though.

Definitely research your model to get tips on how to avoid issues with it. Honestly, I'd practice a bit outside before using it inside.

That's my problem, I'm on a tight schedule. I have to get this wall painted (4 windows and french doors) over 40 feet, baseboards and trim, and mount new blinds and curtains before the new furniture comes in and blocks a good bit of it off.

No time for trial and error. But I am sure that the spitting and clogged isn't nearly as big of an issue now, that kind of simple stuff has improved.

Those Wagners you get at Home Depot kinda suck. My brother has a Graco paint sprayer that works great(we just used it on my mom's place), but they ain't cheap.

Wagner was the one I was considering. If I had the money, I'd just buy a legit sprayer for a few hundred. Fuck it, roller it is.
I had a Wagner in the past and it sucked. Had to water the paint down so much to keep it from clogging that I had to do 4 or 5 coats to get coverage. They may be better now.
