Nothing much else needs to be said. Destroyed on both sides of the line.

It was ugly. We certainly have no alibi.

Left me surly. I'll keep it short. It's one thing to have Auburn play inspired ball and ruin your October 36-33 or 20-17 or some shit. It's another entirely to have your ass handed to you with snakebites on it.

No goddamn football team in America should be in a What Now? position when their #1 QB goes down. I mean really.

Both lines destroyed by Bama.

We have seven games left and it's not at all implausible to say we'll lose four of them.

Well that sucked!

Well I expected it and unlike Toothy, I would have hated us losing the way South Carolina did yesterday...beating them all day and then having them just come in at the end and steal it. Regarding Brantley going down, I'm not sure of too many teams that have two really good and experienced QB's on their team. Bill is excited about it because he thinks with Driskell getting all the reps in practice and getting all of Weis' input, he's going to do just as good if not better than Brantley. I'm not in agreement with him because although I think Driskell is great, he's just too young to have it all on his shoulders. But whatayagonnado?

I was at that 36-33 game in 1994. Good thing my then girlfriend, now wife was with me as we walked through AU fans leaving the Swamp, otherwise I probably would have been arrested for fighting. I was beyond pissed off!

With Brantley down, I truly don't know how well we will do. The thing that bugs me is that we started off well, and I had hope. Bama's QB is not that good, really.

I'm not looking forward to LSU......

Agreed. Driskell showed how green he was last night. Not his fault, just the way it is now.

Why don't they have Burton or Reed as QB?

One thing I am curious about - how many of the morons on Swamp Gas are in full wrist slitting, abject panic, meltdown mode? THAT would be the board to raid again to egg them on.

I really think my husband is the only one who is totally psyched about having Driskell in there full time. He swears that most of Brantley's passes have just been short drops to running backs, and he feels confident Driskell can do that. Brantley had a couple of long bombs on Saturday but that long pass Driskell had in Kentucky that they keep showing which got intercepted was not his fault. He made a great pass and the receiver got popped. Whatever. I kind of like my husband to be happy, so I guess I'm not all that upset...at least I should have a little peace in my house for a while. :s hrug:

I'll be happy if we score against LSU. Driskel is going to start his first game in one of the toughest environments he possibly could.

But yet you had to know there were going to be issues. We couldn't run and couldn't stop them from running. As soon as that become obvious, the game was over.

True enough, Todd, but when you're watching the game you think to yourself that they're just finding their rhythm. Of course in hindsight you recognize that it was only the beginning of a game-long trend.

As for Driskell, I don't see much of a problem. I don't think we beat LSU with a perfectly healthy John Brantley, so let's get Driskell some reps. How bad could it be?

i feel bad for driskell...i'm sure he wants the rock and i'm sure he relishes the opp...he's trying his best to keep it together but you just know he feels a bit overwhelmed...i just hope he doesn't get hurt and/or doesn't get discouraged.

Why don't they have Burton or Reed as QB?[/QUOTE] i believe burton and reed have been exclusively working out with the tight ends and/or wide receivers.

i wonder if there's an update on this...it'd make perfect sense to get reed back in the fold as he will be a non-factor at his current position since it'll be difficult to get him the ball

I'm going but it's going to be a drinking trip, with football a second thought. I'm not certain that Florida will score. :(

I'm going too! But I'm going with an LSU buddy and his tickets, with a slight chance we might get in a suite at the stadium because of his rich buddy's Dad. So I'm going to be very low-key. And for me it's more of a chance to hang out with my friend, drink and watch football all weekend.
