Bill doesn't either. I just don't get it? Are we getting some wicked OC along with him? Did we need to get him because he's cheap and we can afford a wicked OC? These are the things that are going through my mind.
Todd, is it good for you that he's a UGA grad (Nena and all). LOL

No way! No how! He is the "Coach in Waiting" here at Texas. Why would he leave that gig? They love him here.

Ok, maybe I am wrong.

If this is true, I do not like! Especially if Petersen take the Miami gig. No offense, but I have not been impressed with him living here in Austin.

He went to HS in Gainesville apparently.
Nena probably doesn't know who he is cause he wasn't a big star at UGA. I'm not so sure how I'm going to feel about a UGA grad running our football program. We'd better hire one hell of an OC or we're screwed.

Seriously. I am wondering more about our offense coordinator than I am about HC now. Who in the heck is going to want to be our OC? I was thinking maybe he was cheap and would allow us to pay a little more for a good OC? I dunno.

I don't know if I have a problem with him or not...until I hear who our OC is going to be.

I know and I commented on it. The article sounds all good. I can see a lot of positives about him in that he is young...seems high energy and a good recruiter. But we need someone to manage our fantastic offensive players and recruits and if they keep Addazio, I don't care how great Muschamp is...we will still suck.

Holgorsen as OC and Kirby Smart as DC.

I just read the same thing. Who knows what will end up happening, though. This coaching search has been beyond weird. I think the strangest thing is Foley saying that Muschamp is the one and only person they looked at and interviewed.

For anyone reading my post thread on FB...ignore Bob Johnston's comment about Spurrier. It's Bill's uncle and he can't let go...obviously.

I got into it with him a few days ago (politely because I do adore him...he owns that beach condo that we use on Cocoa)...but he cannot give up the idea that Spurrier's time has come and gone at UF. Whatayagonnado?

I have faith in Jeremy Foley. I am happy that we went out and got the first guy he interviewed. Petersen is a mid-major guy -- simple as that. Name me a great player he recruited.
I ain't saying I know more than you guys. I am content.
Let's play some defense, boys.

About an hour after it came out, Bill said he started to feel better about it hearing he was from Gainesville, etc. Like I said, I'll be happy assuming we get a good OC along with him.

Well, I guess I was wrong. I am just a bit confused as to why he would leave Texas. I look forward to reading the paper tomorrow.
Plus Side - Young, energetic, knows the SEC, grew up in Gainesville.
Minus Side - Went to Georgia, owns a home in FL with Jimbo Fisher who he worked with at LSU, untested head coach.
Not sure I want a coach who went to Georgia and is friends with the F$U coach.
KNowing that he grew up in Gainesville makes me warmer towards him. I will wait and see who else he brings on board.
Interesting that his name didn't come up in the discussions at all. I wonder how they pulled that off.

I've slept on it and I'm still content. I'm pissed I can't watch his team play for another eight months.
On the upside, Valhalla's only two months and a week away.
