It's just one step closer to me never watching football again. Next Fall it's going to be fishing and hunting every weekend.

Hopefully the recruits still come and we get a stellar coach to replace him.

I was afeared something like this would happen, although it's probably for the best. It didn't seem like his heart was into it this season, and I didn't think our problems wouldn't resolve without his micromanagement.

The only good news is that there's a little time to find a replacement, unlike when Spurrier quit.

Also, let's wait a day and see if this sticks.

What in the heck? Hollywood Bob swore this was not gonna happen. Oh well. I tend to agree with Kyle...only I won't be hunting and fishing and instead will just have no excuse to let the girls join a dance class or some other sport on Saturdays.

I just read the article...sounds like he should have just kept his resignation last year in tact...we would have Charlie Strong right now. I wonder if we can get him back here. I'm sure Jeremy Foley isn't worried and will find a good replacement...wonder who it will be? You don't think the ol' ball coach would come back would he? I don't think I'd want him back but I'm sure he would LOVE to retire as the Gator Head Coach.

Ugh. People on Facebook are talking about Dan Mullen. Really? No offense to Dan, but I think we can do better.

Man, I really wonder about who we're going to get. Meyer was (deservedly) a rising star when we snagged him. I can't think of anyone out there that I'd be ecstatic about.

What about the Boise State coach? He's done pretty good for himself.

I'd love it if we got Chris Petersen.

Yeah, that's the guy. Forgot his name. He's got like a 90% winning record. Granted, that's in the WAC, but that's where we got Urban from.

Yeah, that one wouldn't surprise me. And if by some chance his QB this year gets the Heisman, coach comes to UF, we could possibly keep the Driskle kid.

I still think he came back to get ole addazi a head coaching gig...and steve srewed tthe pooch.

I think he came back because he wanted to see if he could balance being what it takes to be a good head coach and a good husband and father. I guess he found out this year that while cutting back at his job may make his family life better, it just doesn't cut it for a program like UF. I can't really fault him, but I think it is impossible to be a winning coach at the level he was without something giving a little. Name one head ball coach that has a HUGE winning record like he was on track to have and also has a decent home life. JoPa? His teams haven't had winning seasons every single year...Bobby Bowden was kicked out (I'm sure Urban didn't want that for his future). I dunno...it's sad.

You might be right Tip. Whatever the reason, I'm kind of pissed...no, not kind of...I'm pissed.

I'm fucking furious. If his heart wasn't in it, he should have quit last year. I mean, I'm happy for all that the guy has done. But this just seems like a cop out to me.

Interesting theory someone on GC had. Foley said Addazio must go and Urb said he'd quit if forced to fire Daz and Foley accepted his resignation? Doubtful but interesting nonetheless.
