I think his username used to be M@gic and he was active on the pub until the first group split off in 2004. I think he was part of the "raid" that ended up causing Matt to resign from Pub modship.

I was thinking the same thing...plus, the last time I went on there and made a post, there were maybe two people that welcomed me back...Vanders and all the "elite" were like...crickets. So I just said f-it and never went back.

M@gic was one of the self acclaimed elite of the pub from the early days of the pub. I actually hated the place when those tards ran the show.

I know I wrote I would "shut up" - but one last thing. The individual highlighted above caused more havoc than anyone can imagine. It was his maliciously inspired shenanigans that created the escalating problem that eventually made this forum so uncomfortable for Matt that he felt forced to leave.

Too many power trips by egocentric individuals have made the Pub in its numerous and various incarnations a miserable place for the targeted and maligned. And to anyone reading this who cares - when I ranted on that ill-fated day I did not know the infamous Radbag was the gleeful instigator. My apologies to you all.

He is exactly right - there were some folks here - most of which are all now gone (which is no coincidence) who just took the "fun" too far and did some really malicious, mean-spirited things to certain people. That crap has no place here nor anywhere that a respectful, decent person would want to be. Obviously the rules were made more stringent after those unfortunate affairs, but there's still plenty of room to have good, creative fun here. For crying out loud, there's a new thread about Justin Bieber taking H20 to the dome. It gets no better than that.

I think the "He" Ghetto is referring to is Lacuna, but I thought Lacuna was female.

Looking back to all that stuff, I never remember it getting personal until AFTER they started banning people.

As I recall, it got personal AFTER all of the ridiculous LOLCAT and REP and CasinoCash threads cropped up. Then when the people who liked that crap got mocked, they whined about it. Couple the whining with abrupt arbitrary rules changes and people got banned for caring.
