The questions about Tebows passing skills? I honestly think his deep balls are better than Leaks! 14 for 19 (with one being an int that was the fault of his receiver) is pretty darn good.

But I think Percy was the most remarkable player today. He looks better than most of the guys I watch playing on Sundays (well at least the Bucs). Unbelievable catches and runs by that dood!

I did not see the game and probably never will, unfortunately, but I gotta say, roll up 59 on the Volunteers and you're my guy. When I caught a fourth-quarter score on the radio in coastal Delaware, I had to get out of the car at a red light and jump up and down in traffic.

And that was only 49-20.

i watched the lil feature on mullens work with tweaking his form...he's still a work in progress...

he throws a wobbly ball and he underthrew his guys quite a bit...the receivers are what makes him successful imho.

Toothy...it makes me sad that you missed that game. Those Vol fans were so annoyed that we left our first team in as long as we did...including TT and Percy.

And Rad, I agree with you but wobbly ball or not, he gets the ball a lot farther and more on a rope than our previous QB. And with the amount of receptions to different receivers, his balls obviously aren't too hard to catch. They ALL have been able to pull them in fairly well. Although Percy is special and did make some fantabulous catches on underthrown balls.

Can someone get Toothy a DVD or tape of the game? He really needs to see that romp!

Tebow's got plenty to do with Tebow's success too, rad. I agree that the WR corps can erase mistakes on his part but I think Tebow's got plenty to do with the success of the offense so far.

i'm not taking credit away from tebow either...i give him credit for making the right reads and correct decisions...

i just think the receivers are doing a great job of covering up tebows slight inadequacies....TEBOW does a good job of covering tebows own slight inadequacies by showing leadership, aggressiveness, composure, intelligence, athleticism....i'll go as far as saying that his portion of the contributions far outweigh the receivers contributions in covering his slight inadequacies...i just think the receivers thus far have done a great job for tebow and they're making him look all world...

he's still a work in progress and it was nice to see first hand how he and mullen were addressing improving his passing game.

agreed. the receivers have been badass outside a handful of drops and Cooper's wrong route.

they are a strength and will help Tebow's continued progression.

I have observed, too, that our coaches do not suck.

rad...this quote is Meyer at his presser (today I think?) on Tebow's deep throws...we are both right once again!
We cannot practice that a lot, because you will wear out the receivers. First, he has a strong arm and a lot of confidence. He is also throwing to people who can adjust to the ball very well. When you look at some of the deep throws, especially the one that Percy caught on Saturday, there are only three receivers in the country who could catch that ball. It was a great throw, but the acceleration to the ball was as good as I have seen. I think it’s a combination. Tim throws the ball very well but we have some guys who adjust to the ball very well. There is confidence among that group and that isn’t developed during the week. It was developed in the summer and spring practices.
