Like I said on FB...an Ivy Leaguer with ties to Goldman Sachs...what a shocker. Government is a fucking joke.

She's also towed the company line on ever-increasing executive power, a cause championed by both the Bush and Obama administrations.

This judge is not really going to be a balance of power tipping judge is he/she? Likely a lib, replacing a lib?

I doubt she will change the makeup of the court much.

not balancing tipping, really, but perhaps more dangerous if the balance were to swing in the event a conservative justice leaves for one reason or another.

Hillbuzz.org says she is a known closet lesbian and they suggest this is a bone thrown to the gay community...say that they purposely picked her because she is currently closeted so no one will ask any questions, but once she is sworn in, she'll come out and it will be feather in Obama's cap for that community.

But she's also seen as a moderate and sort of wishy washy...when asked point blank about whether or not gay marriage is a constitutional issue, she unequivocally said it is NOT a Constitutional issue. This doesn't mean she is against gay marriage but she made no bones about the idea that it is a political issue and should be decided by the ballot box and/or state courts. So they (gays) may not be getting the help they think she will provide.

Personally, I couldn't care less if she is gay or not...all I care about with a SCOTUS is that they follow the law/Constitution as written. (Unlike our current administration thinks of it).
