Remember when fans around the country were worried about what was wrong with the Florida Gators? Well don't be and we hate to say we told you so, but well you know we told you so. The Gators head into Thursday with just one commitment from the Sunshine State, but that number quickly changed as Coach Meyer and the Gator staff received some very exciting news as Pahokee DB Janoris Jenkins officially announced he is a Florida Gator. FV has a complete wrap-up of the decision by Jenkins.
The Muck. You probably wouldn't find it on the map when you look at the state of Florida. But while the Muck area isn't the most well known are in the state, the number of top prospects that have emerged from the area has been outstanding. Some of the top prospects from that area include Randy Phillips, Antone Smith, Anquan Boldin, Fred Taylor and Deonte Thompson. The top prospect around the area this season is one of the more physical cornerbacks not just in the state, but in the nation - Pahokee DB Janoris Jenkins.
Jenkins brings forth the total package with solid cover skills, lightning quick reflexes and a very physical corner that isn't afraid to mix things up at the line of scrimmage. There is also a swagger about Jenkins every time he takes the field. According to Jenkins you have to play with confidence and it's quite evident that isn’t a problem for this four-star prospect.
"I want to dominate no matter who I play. I feel like I'm the best player every second I'm on that field, but at the same time I know as a player you have to show it consistently,"
